They burn their croissants. All of them behind the case were very dark and the ones I bought had a burnt taste to them. Aside from being extremely expensive. And the espresso was bitter. I won't be going back. The only reason I went there was because Larsen's bakery was out of the items I wanted. The croissant on the right is how a croissant should look not overcooked and burnt. The one on the right (or below ) is from the local competition.
Prepare to be ruined for any other cake, because once you have one of theirs, everything after will just make you sad.
Caught the pastry shop a little late in the day so the selection was mostly sold out! But I enjoyed my almond croissant very much!
Fabulous pastry. 5☆ Spinach&Feta, Cranberry, Apple!
Amazing pastries and coffee. The only reason i’m giving low rating is because the barista was so grumpy and gave me an attitude. I’m just waking up to get my coffee dude, no need to be rude. Big props to the guy who was behind the counter though, he was nice.
My favorite neighborhood spot for a coffee & pastry, or a fresh loaf of bread. Get there early before they sell out! Seriously amazing croissants, better than I had in Paris. Not much seating so you'll have to take it to-go, but nearby Salmon Bay Park is a great spot to enjoy your goodies. Their coffee is fantastic, and the chocolate, caramel, etc, syrups are all homemade and so decadent if you like a fancy latte.
Been there a few times. Excellent baking goods, good coffee, awesome people behind counter. Bit pricey, but what is not these days. Definitely recommended!
This eatery specializes in more upscale, home-style baked goods and superior customer service. Staff here goes beyond being nice and are extremely professional, courteous, and efficient. Came here on a cool Sunday morning in November and there was a 30 minute wait with a line that was probably 18 orders deep. The barista actually walked outside and started taking orders for the people in line. Pro move! The cashier noticed the customer ahead of me and struck up a little conversation. When it was my turn I just called out my order, but she struck up the same type of conversation with me! Like she knew me, smile and all! Even though there were still tons of people waiting behind me, she did not rush. She repeated my order and asked me clarify which of the two Eclairs I wanted. It was the chocolate. The attention to details is like none I have ever seen; and to do this under pressure is wow! Gold star staff all the way. I like the '67 hippie/19th century Victorian aesthetic logo. Even though the logo is so freeform and quirky, the execution is professional and presentation simple. Good energy all around this place.
