Ronin Steak House & Sushi

Absolutely wonderful experience last night at the new location! We had a large party (12) at 7 pm on a Saturday night, and they do not take reservations. Even still, we only waited about 40 minutes to be seated at hibachi which was much faster than we anticipated. Our waitress was attentive and sweet, we ordered ALOT of food (4 appetizers, 6+sushi rolls, and all had hibachi dinners) and all of the apps and sushi came out very quickly and was fresh and absolutely delicious! Grand Isle, Mummy, and Snowball rolls were amazing! Our hibachi was incredible! Best hibachi food I’ve ever dad - steak cooked perfectly, tender chicken, delicious sides, and generous portions for all - plus our chef was a true entertainer and incredibly friendly and interactive. Several people were celebrating birthdays (our party and others) and all received the special songs, gongs, and ice cream. Drinks were refilled constantly, the kids were given the adaptive chopsticks without asking, and the check came quickly but wasn’t rushed. Prices were on par with other hibachi establishments, and sushi was even a bit less expensive than I anticipated for the size and quality of the rolls we received. Truly a 10/10 experience, and we will come back again over and over!

Sushi

The food was great and our server was wonderful! The front staff wanted to put our group of 4 adults and 2 toddlers at the raised table, tall chairs. Thought that was not a good idea with the toddlers in high chairs. Prices were high compared to other places, but this was not our every weekend thing.

ll looks no substance. We tried their nigiri, smoked salmon, tempura; all of it was awful. Bland or downright tasteless. They even messed up a hand-roll using the wrong seaweed wrap and rice. The only food worth eating is the fried rice, and that’s just because they douse it in an obscene amount of butter. The hibachi chefs are made to do an embarrassing little song and dance with their spatulas, smacking them against the grill so loudly it hurts your ears. You could absolutely tell they hated it as well, they’re miserable. Also, the whole place is tacky. Tacky and uninvitingg lighting and decor. The grills, tables, and chairs weren’t even wiped off before we sat down. Also they 100% pay for their hood reviews.

Great Sushi!!

The staff here are friendly and prompt. The Hibachi chef was entertaining and personable. The location, parking, and building are very nice. Finally, their ice water is better than Tokyo in West Monroe Prices, quality, taste, and serving sizes are all considerably better at Tokyo. I cannot speak knowledgeably about their sushi as my party all had the Hibachi. The salad was okay. The soup was cold and disgusting. The fried rice was okay after lots of pepper and soy sauce were added. The steak was bland. The chicken was also flavorless but slightly better than the steak.

So nice had to try it twice. Has been great food every time we've gone! Update Feb 2024: The food was still as good as always. The atmosphere hasn't changed too much with the bigger building. The prices and service has, however. While the servers took their time getting to us, there was a feeling of being rushed. A feeling of "Eat and leave, please." The hibachi grill was used and it was a bit of fun and cringe as it should be. No real issues there. Again, the only big issue was my server taking 30 minutes to tale our order, but waiting right until our food was done on the grill just to hand us to go bags.

The location was clean and spacious. It did get noisy during our lunch visit once the building filled up with customers. The food was great, the server seemed to deliver the food as it was prepared. Each plate was brought out separately instead of all together. We were in and out in little over an hour.
