When you approach the entrance to the pub there is a sign outside saying hidden gem and how right it is. Staff, very friendly and welcoming, Service, prompt yet not felt as though rushed. Food, very tasty and adaquate portion size. Atmosphere, relaxing no loud music to drown out conversations. We will definatly be back and recommend to friends. Thank you keep up the good work to all the staff at the Romper.
Stopped in a nearby hotel and this was an easy option. I was impressed for the money, good standard of good and nice service
It used to look a little questionable, but after the refit it's excellent. Fantastic food, generous helpings and very well priced.
Busy place, reasonably priced middle of the road meal.
Been here lots of times But this week was awful Roast potatoes been there all day along with the soggy vegetables Won’t be going again
Although the rompers warm and rustic atmosphere is like stepping into a quaint country pub. The food left alot to be desired unfortunately. I ordered the 28 day serloin steak which, if I'm honest was no rested and covered in fat. I could have been eating a weather spoons rump steak out the microwave and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Horrible cut of meat for nearly £20 asking price. Staff were warm and welcoming, maybe just drinks next time
One of the best steak pies I have ever had still full 2 days later and the staff were really nice worth a visit if you haven't been
Nice food pleasant surroundings
