My husband and I have tried many different Italian places in the area and unfortunately were not impressed. A friend recommended Roko and we had such a wonderful experience. I believe our servers name was Ashlynn, but I apologize if my memory is off. I can tell you that she was phenomenal. She recommended a wine for me that was delicious so we asked her what she recommended on the menu. She told us about the pesto gnocchi and how she mixes the traditional gnocchi with the cheese gnocchi and the scallop scampi. My husband got the gnocchi and I completely changed my original choice to the scallops based on her recommendation. Neither of these dishes disappointed. Definitely the best scampi I have ever had. Give that girl a raise! We loved it and we will most definitely be back to try the tiramisu that unfortunately wasn’t available when we went. But the cheesecake was light and amazing. Just as she said it would be. Thank you, for a wonderful evening.

This was our first time dining at Roko. The atmosphere was warm and cozy and we were immediately greeted by the hostess who gave a huge smile and welcomed us as if it was her home. We started with cocktails at the bar since we were a bit early waiting for our table. We watched the bartender as she crafted the Lemon Drop and Dirty Martini simultaneously, shaking and straining the cocktails in expert fashion while she chatted with her customer making sure his meal met his expectations. She was very proficient with her garnishes and delivered our drinks as if they just won 1st prize in a contest. They were tasty and balanced to perfection! As we sat at the bar we had a perfect view of the dining area. The servers were all dressed professionally and it was obvious they were well trained, as they moved in meticulous fashion serving very happy customers that were enjoying their meals and absorbed in conversation. Our table was ready and we were seated immediately. Abi was our server. She didn't miss a beat as she immediately assesed that we had our cocktails, served us warm bread and a bowl of aromatic olive oil with a sweet balsamic vinegar for dipping. Abi, in a well-versed fashion, recited the "Specials" and politely excused herself so we could finish our cocktails giving us time to settle in and review the menu. The menu for an Italian fare had a broad spectrum of appetizers and entrees ranging from the typical calamari with marinara, stuffed artichokes and to our surprise escargot! Escargot? I was hesitant and we ordered the calamari. It wasn't until later that I heard the customer at the next table tell the server how he enjoyed the "delicious" escargot. Hmm... I must try that next time. I am very finicky about calamari but it was very tender with not too much breading and the marinara sauce was tasty on point. Abi took the rest of our order which included a bottle of Moltipuciano, making sure my husband was satisfied as he conducted the tasting. Although we didn't try any of the specials, we enjoyed our entrees of Veal and Eggplant Parmesan with sides of pasta and vegetables. I am not Italian, but any expert foodie knows that if you have a good sauce, it makes the meal shine. The sauce was EXCEPTIONAL! Our entrees were tasty and enjoyable, and Abi knew the perfect timing, checking time to time without being too invasive. Time for dessert! Cappuccino and Espresso followed by Tiramasu to share. Perfect ending to a perfect dining experience. Roko is a "Gem" hidden in Mayfair. We will return to venture more time at the bar and then dinner and try the escargot and venture the delicious other entrees. Don't forget to ask for Abi! Professional and full of personality that makes the dining experience memorable. Thank you Roko!

Great Italian food! It's a small space, so make a reservation. The mussels were massive, but not as flavorful as we hoped. The mushroom ravioli is incredible, go with the pasta!

Three stars for the food. I was taken by surprise when I got the bill. I ordered the Grouper special, which had a nice sauce and served with peas and diced potatoes. It was $47 which I think is outrageous for a small piece of fish. I didn’t think to ask the price beforehand but lesson learned! The bread was a bit too crunchy and I didn’t love the world famous scampi sauce which was very oily. I will say 5 stars for the service. Our server was excellent.

Browned herb butter Butternut squash ravioli was delicious the al dente herb roasted ravioli was complimented well with feta and candied walnuts. The New Zeland Mussels with hearty with rich buttery garlic. The catch of the day was Grouper with a red pesto, made with sun dried tomato’s. The grouper was delicately cooked, could have used a little more salt. Salmon and scallop dishes were cooked and seasoned very nicely. A side of sister spinach had fantastic olive oil, garlic flavors. The Lemon chelo cake, was a white with lemonchelo liquor blended with buttercream was absolutely amazing and refreshing, vibrant flavors, light and moist. The Tarimassu and Cannoli was standard for an Italian dessert. The Hazelnut gelato carries intensely pleasant hazelnut taste, velvety texture, melts smoothly over the tongue. The service was timely, polite, and helpful. The owner made a couple visits and seemed genuinely interested in our experience. The seating was decent, on the small side for a party of three ordering a lot of food. I have some noise sensitivity, I could hear too many conversations from surrounding tables. I thought the catch of the day was over-priced. The price matches the clientele ability to pay.

Was driving by and decided to try. Unfortunately, didn’t have a reservation; fortunately, they had a table for two near the bar. Ordered soup, entree and dessert. Excellent service and the food was delicious. Got the frutti di mare; lots of seafood. Tiramisu was excellent.
