Great Bar

One of my favorite bars near Chinatown. Younger crowd and plenty of games, pool tables, and dart boards.

The bouncer at the door was obnoxiously rude to the point that I decided not to open a tab. He checked my ID and handed it back to me. As I was putting it back in my wallet, he absolutely berated me for the way I took the ID back from him. My normally polite midwestern self didn’t really understand what he was upset about, but honestly thinking back on it he let my obviously straight friends in without problem, but when it came to me decided to give me a hard time. It really felt homophobic and discriminatory. If you dress or present queer in any way, I would avoid this place.

Bar tenders are trash! No food, can never get a table

My friends and I had the opportunity to visit this place on March 10th. We didn't order any food so I won't be providing comments on that aspect. Upon our arrival, we encountered a security guard at the door who seemed to be in a bad mood. One of my friends tried to engage in a light-hearted conversation, mentioning that he now has hair (He has a shaved head on his ID). However, the security guard misunderstood him and told him that he did not cared that our friend couldn't hear him and that he still needed to check his ID, displaying a lack of patience. Despite our attempts to clarify, he didn't offer any apology. Still at the door, when another friend handed over his ID, the security guard criticized the way it was presented, making a rude comment about needing to see the ID face first. Despite purchasing rounds and paying for an hour of pool, our experience was marred by being reprimanded for leaning or sitting on the table and placing beers on it. We promptly apologized for it and continued playing the game. Unfortunately, we were eventually asked to leave the establishment for merely being near the same table. While the bar itself is decent, the overall experience was affected by the security guard's demeanor. It seems like he could use a more positive approach in his interactions.
