This place is a little gem in the burgeoning Capitol East district (aka East Rail Corridor) where ugly, worn-out industrial buildings and loading docks have given way to hip new residential towers, hotels, restaurants, bars, a great life music venue, a historic outdoor athletic field, and a startup incubator. Really flavorful vegetarian and vegan dishes..in a cool old building...with a great outdoor courtyard...in a very hip part of Madison. Cocktails were superb, appetizers were super yummy, and vegetarian eggs were really tasty and satisfying. The other cool thing is that it shares space with a great little bar with quiet, intimate seating, and a fantastic coffee shop. Parking: Parking can be hard to find when there are concerts down the block or an event at the athletic field (both within a block) but you can usually find some spots on the sides streets to either side of the main corridor (E. Washington Ave.)
I have only been to the bar area and courtyard but I can say Amanda is an absolutely fantastic bartender, and overall person and employee. I will absolutely return just to see her! Overall, the venue was gorgeous and I love the courtyard. I can’t wait to come back and try the food.
