Roasting Plant Coffee is a coffee shop and roastery located in the heart of Downtown Detroit. Known for its innovative Javabot™ system, the brand brews each cup of coffee custom-made to order. Founded in 2013, Roasting Plant Detroit quickly became a pivotal presence in the city's renaissance, being among the first businesses to set up shop amid bankruptcy. In 2016, the shop was acquired by actor, author, and activist Hill Harper and investor Matty Yohannan, emphasizing their commitment to providing not just excellent coffee but also economic opportunities for Detroit's young residents.
