I really enjoy coming here with my little one. Absolutely stunning surroundings. Nice staff. Food is lovely, good selection in the farm shop. However I’ve given 4 stars as I feel the toddlers areas needs a little update. I realise this is a free play area ☺️ but the slides/ tractors and play houses are extremely worn with some broken.
Nice little cafe but very expensive! £1.80 for a can of vimto!
Ok for little ones, but don't expect anything more than basic food offerings
Used to be really good - had a nice artisan feel to the food and surroundings. Today we sat in a plastic roofed outhouse eating lukewarm food off paper plates with disposable cutlery - the whole thing felt cheap. To the (I assume new) owner; stop selling knick knacks, reestablish the restaurant in the brick building and get a proper chef, or you won’t last.
Genuinely worried for the welfare of the pig at this place. It literally has less space than the guinea pigs. It’s in the worlds smallest enclosure (brick building on your left as soon as you go in to the grounds) so it can’t see anything other than the walls, it’s completely alone away from the rest of the farm, no enrichment and I just feel like it’s living the sadness most lonely life ever which is why I have given 2 stars as I feel the animal’s welfare needs to be considered a lot more. The place itself is free to get in, a little play area, beautiful views, great food, funny emus that chase you alongside the fence, not wheelchair friendly, there’s an area with small ride ons but they are mostly broken- but the place is free! The pig REALLY needs to be considered here though. It’s heartbreaking to see. EDIT: since finding out the pig is a rescue I have contacted the farm to offer fund raising to get the pig in a more permanent spot but has no response unfortunately.
Stunning views, but the worst milkshakes we've had in years.
A little more 'basic' than the wife and I had thought. Basically a yard covered with a wood frame and perspex. Food and drinks served on paper plates. Food was nice and hot, but cooled quickly as eating area was pretty cool. Overall, a nice place especially if you have kids as they have a pig you can say hi to, a play area and events in summer. Parking: Parking in field next to farm. May get pretty muddy in wet weather.
A hidden gem! Brilliant for the children, selection of animals and play are. Farm shop ⭐
