Our story starts in 1853 when the barn that houses the bar was built (Lincoln wasn't President yet). As far as barns go, this one is pretty cool and it’s amazing it has stood this long, even surviving the Great Dayton Flood of 1913. In 2014 after a complete renovation, the place was rechristened the Rip Rap Roadhouse which was founded on the belief that great food and great service at a reasonable price will get people to keep coming back, and hopefully, they'll tell their friends. “In 2053 our barn will be 200 years old. Everything we do today is to make sure that the Rip Rap Roadhouse is still in business for the bicentennial and that it is viewed as one of the places that make the Miami Valley special to those that live here."
