Reynolds Tavern and 1747 Pub

Cute place but our server gave off an annoyed vibe. We arrived before a the rush and I wasn’t impressed. Only one out of the 5 of us have been there before and the menu was too overwhelming. The server only asked for food allergies and went on she didn’t even offer water while we reviewed the menu. We made it clear we were overwhelmed by the menu and she was stone cold. I truly believe if we would have had the other server that was there, he would have made the experience better. Some of the food was delicious but others were disappointing. We ordered a baked Brie for an appetizer, not knowing it only served 2, and were disappointed since it was 5 of us. It would have been nice to know so we could have order at least one more because it was truly delicious. I wouldn’t recommend the salads there, the lettuce was clearly old, you could tell by the discoloration and the celery was slimy. It could have just been our bad luck but it made a big enough impression to say one and done.

Cool 18th century restaurant. High tea upstairs, need reservations, and dark cavern downstairs with same food and a bar.

We had a wonderful experience getting afternoon tea here. The service was excellent and the tea was delicious! 10/10 would recommend. I also recommend the lobster bisque.

Just visited the pub in the basement. The bar is small and the bar room is cold and sparsely decorated.

Dinner in restaurant was borderline awful

The nicest area of the pub is the room with the working fireplace...old 1700's kitchen. Best bangers and mash, hands down!

High tea rocked! Don't mess with the fancy pretend (herbal/fruit) teas and get a pot of PGTips ( not so easy to come by in the US). Superb. And the cakes and sandwiches were also excellent.
