As of July 2024, the Renga-Tei will change to Tenjin Restaurant. In 2023, a seasoned Japanese chef and his wife assumed the ownership of Renga-Tei with a sense of responsibility in continuing to serve old-school, classic Japanese cuisine to the Lincolnwood and surrounding communities including Chicago. Now after a year of operation the pair decided to rename the restaurant Tenjin, a move that felt necessary to make the long-running restaurant their own. The name Tenjin comes from a thriving neighborhood in Fukuoka Japan. The area is known for their vibrant food culture that has spread in popularity across Japan. — and this is where both Naoki and Yoshimi grew up. They're thrille to share the delicious food from their furusato (home).
