Lovely food and good service

4 meals had sofar cannot fault. Very friendly landlord and landlady. Booked again tomorrow. Food & drinks: Visited again this year much.4 meal so far.spot on.pedigree perfect.

Excellent menu with very interesting food at reasonable prices. The service is excellent Highly recommended as a pub to visit when you are in the area

What an amazing find this pub was. Drove out to Hognaston near to Carsington Water on Sunday fancied Sunday lunch before walking. The landlord was really friendly and although the pub was very busy accommodated us with a table for 2. We had the most excellent delicious Roast Beef dinner, perfectly cooked, good selection of vegetables. Highly recommended

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous evening meal. Although a quiet evening the pub was very atmospheric and traditional. The food was beautifully home cooked and well presented. Great portion sizes - I couldn't manage all of mine. Staff were friendly and attentive. A lovely place to visit.

Incredible pub in the lovely village of Hognaston. We were a big group of 8 which we had pre booked for our Saturday evening meal and the food did not disappoint. We had 3 fantastic courses and the service was brilliant. We would visit again :)
