I have been so disappointed with this store for quite some time and I know I’m not alone. Today for example, I wanted a Taylor Farm Everything salad - only 2 left and both expired today (not even discounted for quick sale). Then I walked over to get bagels and all the D’italiano everything bagels expired tomorrow (again full price!). This store has gone WAY DOWNHILL especially in the past 2-3 years. It’s nothing like it was when it originally opened. The Oxford West store blows this one out of the water…no real comparison to quality and selection. Even the plastic bags in the produce section are far superior to 825 Oxford store. So disappointed to say the least!! We pay insane prices for food so please provide fresh food!

Today, I’m going to review an assortment of goods from Real Canadian Superstore Oxford St and Gammage St. After acquiring my items, I went to a local baseball field to have a picnic. I started off with 9 pieces of southern fried chicken. A satisfying layer of batter covered the skin. This was seasoned just enough but not too much. The white meat was juicy and tender. The other three items were ice cream. A small tub of Billie Miner Pie by The Keg, a small tub of Caramel Cone Explosion by Haggen Dasz, and a medium-sized tub of Malai Masti kulfi by Desi-licious. Of the few, I’ll tell you that the Billie Miner Pie was lacking. The other two were a pleasure. The kulfi was similar to a rasmalai, as it had cardamom and saffron (two ingredients commonly found in rasmalai). But the best was the Haagen Dasz. The cone pieces had the PERFECT crunch and the caramel was more of a butterscotch (a very good thing). Now, the pricing. The chicken was $17, Billy Miner was $6.99, kulfi was $6.99, and Haagen Dasz was $5.99. The wind gave me no mercy in blowing my things around, but the awesome food made it all worth it. “Super” is in the name, and Real Canadian Superstore is more super than ever.

Overpriced items. Why are you charging so much for groceries when Canadian families are struggling to afford food? You are making record profits so you have room to lower your prices.

We’ve had a number of issues with groceries delivery.. they weren’t always happy to hear but fixed things for the most part. Yesterday was perfect and would have gained them a 5 star. On an almost $200 order. However the delivery was unacceptable. Didn’t ring or knock, dropped in snow and left when instructions were clear that they needed to be handed. When called the store back was told they aren’t our employees. I placed an order, you organize delivery, and should be responsible to the end. Had to ask a stranger walking by to bring water in. Bag of potatoes soaking wet. You can see the porch was dry. Ridiculous way to treat customers.

This is our go to place for groceries and they are usually stocked up and every-time comes with new varieties of veggies and fruits. Plus the staff is awesome.
