Quite an amazing place in SLO Public Market. I visited & had a great chat with the owner, John, about all sorts of topics while also checking out the fantastic lab that they have for whipping up their distilled spirits & creations. Besides being a cool fractional distillery, John does his food science magic with all sorts of fresh flavor extracts & skill. Since it was early on a beautiful day most customers were enjoying themselves outside. They not only have interesting on site brewed spirits, but lots of bar food, video games, and even Skeeball. The last time that I have seen something halfway as nice as this was back in Honolulu. This great place is definitely a place to raise one’s spirits up. Thanks John for sharing your vision for this place & for this public market. They also have a spin off Tapas-like place inside SLO Public market itself.
Unique menu items. Salads have lots of toppings. Although, they were described as "big" and they are more like a side salad for an entree price. My husband really enjoyed the tri tip dip sandwich and the fried chicken appetizer. The eggplant sandwich was disappointing, no flavor and small as can be.
Enjoy this place quite a bit. It's part of the San Luis Obispo public market. They're pretty easy going and generally I get food at the chicken place and then bring it over here for drinks. They're normally cool with that as long as I'm buying drinks. Their drinks are well made and if their bartending staff isn't too busy, they're great conversationalists. I'm partial to their Manhattan.
Omg the gin was smoother than smooth. Great company and server was great. Definitely try the dirty martini, wouldnt know you were drinking gin
Five stars aren't enough for this place. The food was delicious; we had the chicken poppers, cole slaw, and the very best shrimp po boys sandwiches. Nancy was our delightful waitress and the owner John took us on a tour of the house made gins. My favorite was the Rustic Gin Martini - absolutely worth the trip! Amazing find in SLO!
Food and drinks were absolutely pathetic. We were 2 out of the 4 total customers in the place and it took over 20 minutes to plate a fried chicken sandwich and a bowl of Mac n cheese... based on the loud music and yelling it sounded like the kitchen was more interested in having themselves a party than doing their jobs... will never go back to this establishment
The food is incredible! Everything is bomb! Probably the best burgers in slo. The fried chicken is amazing! Come hungry! Shoutout to Brenen for being the best in town!
Man, oh, Man! The food here is fantastic! My wife and I went to the grand opening and tried a little of everything! I am super excited to have a good drink and food outside the downtown area! If I had to recommend one thing, I would say try to chicken bites! The flavor bursts in your mouth. We are excited to go back and drink and eat some more
Finally went to this spot today and must say that I was extremely happy for doing so. Food, atmosphere and the customer service was all top notch. Prices are fair, the drinks are tasty and cold and the food is full of deliciousness . I will definitely be a repeat patron of this establishment, because there are far more yummies to be had .
My wife & I checked out RS on a Friday their Grand Opening weekend. Service & food were both excellent. We both had the smash-burger and were very happy…it was tasty w/everything blending together nicely. I had fries & she got the spiral sliced potato w/cheese & sauce. We also had the bine marinated fried chicken tender bite as an app and they were amazing! Fry coating is a sweet savory mix that’s pretty unique and tasty. Overall they have a beautiful space and good food. It’s def with a try!
