RailSide Brewing

Today we were very disappointed with Railside Brewing. We have been here before and enjoyed it as they have great beer! But today we stood at the bar waiting to be noticed by the young lady busy visiting with some other patrons (this was early 3:00 pm.) Finally she noticed us and acted like we were bothering her when we ordered. She had her young son behind the bar with her and reluctantly gave us our beer. We planned to eat there but after a few minutes we realized that could be a long process getting service. We gave her a $20.00 bill to pay for our beers which were $6.00 each but when she gave us our change back it was only $7.00. I guess she took her own $1.00 tip. Needless to say we probably won’t be back.

Update - Great place! The nachos are so great!! Update - Still great! Great beer, awesome Reuben sandwich, and did I mention great beer!!! The owners, Mike and Onca (sp?) are great! Always enjoy talking to brewers that have a passion for what they do

Good beer, local atmosphere.

My overall experience of this place sits at a crisp: 3.9/5.0 Here is why... Cleanliness: This place is clean, but there can also be a feeling that it isn't. This is true of most pub-like breweries. No complaints about where it counts: bathroom, tables, and dishes. 9/10 Service: It was a good experience overall. Nothing stands out as over-the-top amazing. We were regularly checked on and asked if we needed anything which was great! I do wish that they served flights or something like that. 8/10 Quality: This is the most subjective category. I would say that the food is high caliber. Burgers, nachos, pizza, and sandwiches are all great quality. Sadly, I didn't find the quality of the beer to match up. It wasn't bad, but I would have loved to see more creativity and more options. 7/10 Environment: This is a small and intimate space for a brewery. It can feel a bit cramped for space and noise, but it works. The parking and location are definitely odd and not welcoming, but once you get past that, I think you'll find yourself enjoying the experience. 8/10 Uniqueness: There are breweries everywhere these days. If you want to survive, you need to standout from the competitors. I can say confidently that the food stands out, but not the beer. I couldn't tell you the difference between the beers offered here and most other breweries with the same styles of beer. But, that being said, there is still a unique experience to be had here. 7/10

Great beer and pizza. Mike the owner is a really friendly dude, easy to talk to and clearly loves what he does. We’ll be back.
