They definitely care about the customers! The pizza was excellent! Lots of toppings and the service was great! Everyone was friendly and made us feel like a celebrity! We had a terrific experience!
This shrimp santa Cruz meal made me sick immediately after eating with stomach cramps and diarrhea do not order from here!!
I was surprised at how affordable the dishes were here! The salad that came along was also huge and super fresh!
Some quality pizza options, salads are good also.
Came for lunch on a weekday, and there were maybe 3 other tables sat the whole time. Definitely wasn’t busy. I ordered an artichoke calzone and added chicken and a salad. My friend got the chicken rosemary salad. It was her birthday, so we also ordered dessert (they don’t do anything for birthdays here), and we tried the tiramisu and the carrot cake. Everything we tasted was delicious. I was particularly impressed with the dough of the calzone- it was fluffy and a little sweeter than I expected, which was interesting and good. The salad was loaded with veggies, and my friend raved about the amount of blue cheese in her dressing. The dessert was on point- both of us were happy to polish them off. I only gave 4 stars, however, because for the 2 of us, the bill was $50, and I was still hungry when I left. I had to eat a handful of almonds in the car. Maybe it was partially because I added chicken and a salad, but If I’m going to spend $25/person for lunch, I’d much rather go to Bella Notte, where they have great ambiance and impeccable service (here it was fine, but nothing to rave about), or even Olive Garden, where the unlimited salad and breadsticks make it impossible to leave hungry. So, while nothing was “wrong” with Puccini’s, I’m probably not coming back any time soon. Vegetarian options: You can customize your pizza or calzone, and they have a variety of fresh veggies.
Update: After a long time of not eating here since 2017, we decided to try again in 2023 because it used to be one of our favorite places to eat. So, we tried twice more. The interior is dirty and run down. On our 1st return trip, the food (pasta & pizza) was really good, cooked by Josh. Our 2nd time back, it was not good. The crust was like a cracker (see photos), and it was drowned in cheese, which smothered the flavor of the pizza. We ordered the campfire pizza with extra sausage, and it was very bland, couldn't taste the marmalade or rosemary. It was a big brick of cheese on a cracker. Very disappointing! It is just not as good as it used to be, unfortunately. There is no consistency. Sadly disappointed.
We ordered pizza and were not notified what was wrong. After over an hour and a half we had to call to find out that they were missing the ingredient for the pizza that we ordered. This is unacceptable and we will not be dining or ordering from Puccini’s for the indefinite future. Don’t order your pizza or go here!
Nice place, great Italian food, pizza, salad, main dishes. Comfortable, friendly servers, good variety.
