I used to really love this place but since they jacked up the price of their bowls, inventory turnover seems lower, the fish tastes like it sits out for way too long and does not have a pleasant taste.
I miss how good these bowls used to be.
They put your food in plastic containers that are smaller than the normal eco friendly ones and they are not BPA free. They have fewer options for their meats. Barely any options for add-ons as far as veggies ect. They have NO Topper options of crispy onions, sesame seeds or seaweed ect. They also charge almost $2 more for their bowl then other Poki bowls near this. If you're in the area go to another one, they're really close and much better. Don't pay more for less. The picture is a "large bowl."
Eh, it was okay. I live somewhat in between this and Poke House on Almaden (which is my go to). The poke was overpriced to begin with, they really don't have many options on toppings and sauces and there are a lot of add ons that you have to pay extra for, the ingredients didn't look or taste very fresh either. The service was average as well
I'll stick to Poke House on Almaden.
Marshall at village Oaks in San Jose.❤️❤️❤️
This was perfectly acceptable poke. Not worth making a trip for but nice enough to have if local.
This place is overpriced. Not worth it. I ordered a large bowl which you get 4 choices of tuna but it’s more like 2 choices of tuna, the portions are small. Never fails!
Such limited options compared to other locations…very disappointing!
This place should really get no stars as the service and food are terrible at this facility. It takes a really disappointing experience like this to be awarded with such a negative review.
The only reason we chose this place was because we wanted to use a gift card. We ordered our food, tried to pay with a legitimate poki bowl gift card, but Kevin and the other server could not figure out how to use the gift card. So Kevin called his manager but apparently he is vacationing in Mexico and could not be disturbed. He called other owners and they were unhelpful too. After waiting patiently for over 30 minutes, Kevin didn't have the authority to do anything and didn't do anything for us. He hid in the back of the restaurant and was meek. As such, we left our order in disgust and disappointment. His manager, Johnathan Nguyen didn't help in any way either.
I do not recommend this restaurant at all. There are much better poki bowl places with better fish, more choices for toppings, lower prices and of course, way better service.
