Do NOT take disabled people to this terrible place! A terrible business run-very badly- by two self-important little men named "Kurtes" and "Ramona". Here's an example of what a "little man" this guy named Ramona is: I took my severely autistic son to Plaza Lanes recently for lunch, and I noticed this tiny grey haired fellow that kept ducking his head out of the kitchen to look at my son and I as we ate. I assumed the cook was being conscientious, checking on his diners. So we finished and I paid the waitress (including 25% tip) and prepared my son to leave (he needs some extra help). So this little teeny man strutted up to us and blurted out "You're gonna have to clean that up! We cleaned it last time but if you won't clean it this time we'll charge you 25% extra!". He was pointing under Alex's chair, where there were literally a couple pieces of pizza toppings and a small blob of cheese about the size of a quarter. Mind you, this is on a bare cement floor, the flooring choice of dive bars and greasey spoon restaurants everywhere, because it's extremely easy to clean, even if you're one of the laziest business owners in Meadville. So obviously I thought this was some weird joke and chuckled, embarrassed. "Oh no! I'm serious!", he then loudly snapped his fingers and yelled to the waitress to charge us 25% extra because of the mess. Shocked, and now angry, I bit my tongue and said, "hand me that broom". I literally made two sweeping motions which swept all the mess up in approximately 5 seconds. This little hairnet man then strutted back into the kitchen, obviously pleased with himself to assert his authority over a mentally challenged person that didn't realize how he'd just been disrespected. This Ramona character singled us out, and had obviously been watching us as we ate. So with all the pettiness and ill-will he could muster, he had to publicly shame us, or charge us a special 25% fee that he obviously made up on the spot. It's kind of hard to believe people like this run businesses, but they do here at Plaza Lanes. So I called that night (after I had calmed down) and asked for the manager. The lady that answered said "what's this about?" (rudely), and I told her I needed to speak to the owner or manager about an incident with my son at their restaurant. She put down the phone, and after a full 5 minutes a suspicious sounding man answered the phone. I asked him who he was (he said "Ramona")and if he was an owner or manager. "No" he said, and so I told him I'd been holding for a while for and I wanted to speak to a manager or owner ". So he set the phone down, and about 6-7 minutes later another sleepy male voice muttered "hello" into the phone. I asked if he was an owner or manager, and he said yes. I began to tell him what happened and he talked over me the whole time. "OBVIOUSLY you're not any customer of PLAZA Lanes because everybody that comes here knows RAMONA is the OWNER of PLAZA LANES!". He uttered this like he was making some bold "gotcha" statement like he thought he did a check-mate. I informed him that I don't know the owners of ANY businesses I go to, and that owning a slightly run-down bowling alley in a small town doesn't imbue you with celebrity status in the slightest. They then hung up. So I called back, and Ramona and this manager Kurtes, apparently hugged each other in fear and cowered in the corner rather than handle their business, because I could hear them moving around, but they wouldn't talk to me. Eventually I hung up. So that was my bizarre and horrible interaction with Ramona and Kurtes, two "men" who obviously have a special hatred of special needs people and those that care for them. I can honestly say I've never dealt with such a cruel, petty, incompetent pair who shouldn't be running a roadside popscicle stand, let alone a busy entertainment establishment. Judging by my experience and the other one-star reviews here, these two oddballs just don't have what it takes to work with the public. We won't be back, ever.
