Noodles that never had to feel heavy or taste greasy after a bowl, that’s the Vietnamese kind of fill. And the Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong of this resto is sooooo good yet light but filling. You have a little of everything in a bowl of fresh, crunchy classic Vietnamese noodle salad bowl with spring rolls your choice of protein, pork, beef or chicken. Can’t have enough of the dressing that can double as soup base.
Got my soup within 15 min. Quick service
Food: ordered #9 on menu, PHO with brisket and Tendon. The tendon was tough and chewy and not edible. tons of gristle on the brisket, not edible. soup was ok and the veggies seem fine too. Service: typical Asian service, not memorable. server seemed to be annoyed because we didn't want to sit between 2 loud groups of people when there were open seats everywhere. The food is already expensive but they also added the gratuities on the bill without telling you. Atmosphere: fairly quiet because there were few people there. Wonder why? Summary: Quality of meats in PHO is poor. Nice quiet restaurant. Expensive for what you get. Service is sub-par. Other Suggestion: There is a nice PHO place on Lawrence near Warden that has better service, excellent quality food (no grisly meat!), prices are better and they don't add their own gratuity and you get 10% off for cash. The only bad thing is that they are busy as hell and you may have to wait for a seat but that is because the food is way better. Go for that.
We went here for lunch and when we went inside the lady on shift (wearing glasses) was really rude! We asked where can we put the strollers as we have two babies with us but she answered like it was bothersome to have strollers in the store. When we were eating she keeps eyeing our table which was really rude. The food was great except for that cold shrimp roll. We were not supposed to give a tip because of what we’ve experienced but we did because it was already on the receipt and mind you we did not even get a thank you when we left. No smile, no warm welcome, and bad service. P.s this is my first time leaving a review on a restaurant!
Good food. Clean dining area. Fast service. Not busy when we dine in.
great pricing, great food, good service. Feb, 2022: nothing has changed, still great food. Staff has changed. The only thing i would worry about is a full restaurant... the pandemic is not over, avoid a full restaurant. Nov 2022: they have removed steamed rice rolls from their menu. Its still in their physical menu but the server will notify you that they are not available at this restaurant. Steamed rice rolls are still available at their other locations though. Apr 2023: steamed rice rolls are back on their menu !!! Mar 2024, please be aware that a 10% service charge is now added to yur bill.
The Foods ok I find the P1 is like any other pho place I have been to. Prices are all in the same range as other places. 14 to 17 small to large. As I read through the other reviews I noticed someone mention about the 10% service fee. That explains my bill being 3 dollars more and then I added another 5 dollars service on top of that. I don't mind cause the servers were attentive but the least you could do is let your customers know that theres a service fee included.
A simple viet restaurant. My pho was good however it took quite a long time to come out. The 5 friends I was dining with had basically finished half their meals by the time I received mine, despite others also ordering pho or other noodle soups
