We eat Pho at least once a week in the GTA, sometimes more. Came to Windsor for a few days for work. Had Vietnamese take-out three times from three different restaurants, twice for lunch and once for dinner. Pho is definitely better eaten hot and fresh at the restaurant but we just don’t have time for the whole crew to dine in. I certainly can’t say that Pho Nguyen Hoang is the best I’ve ever had but it is right up there as far as take-out goes. Portions were good. Ice coffee was strong. Soup was very hot. Multiple pieces of tendon in the Pho Dac Biet. Tons of bean sprouts and basil. The best part for me was how they packed/served the spring rolls. With fresh lettuce and even a side of vermicelli. I haven’t had a place serve spring rolls properly like this since I was a kid. Brought back some great childhood memories! If I had to make one complaint it would be that there was hoisin sauce but no hot sauce. Although they did include a single fresh chili pepper to satisfy my spicy needs
Some of the best pho I’ve ever had!! Staff were super friendly. Must go if you’re near
Still nothing comes close to the food we have here. No Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto or anywhere in the states so far that we’ve gone to can match the delicious food here. This is our go to whenever we come to Windsor.
This has been my go to Vietnamese restaurant for over 20 years. The taste and quality of the food is consistently excellent. The staff are friendly and efficient. I have been to Vietnam twice, and the food here is every bit as good as food I ate in Vietnam. Best Pho in Windsor. Parking: Parking out back in free lot and on Wyandotte St in front.
