I wanted to go there for ages. Finally today I managed to be there. The Teahouse was extremely hot as there were few fans. The quality and quality/ variety of the sandwiches and cakes were average. The waiter who served us was not friendly and polite. The bill was so high with 12.5% of service. Tea for 3 cost me £187.28 not worth it as I had the better one. I don't recommend the place, but I do recommend the green area outside of the nursery for a walk.

Such a lovely place for brunch or cream tea. The nursery is gorgeous and the staff were lovely. They unfortunately do not have many options for anyone with coeliac disease/ gluten allergy (choice is limited to either a flourless cake or gluten-free toast with jam) and they do not allow outside food to be brought in, so I do not recommend visiting if anyone in your group has a gluten allergy.

One of my favourite places to go in the area for delicious food in the most charming environment. Perfect for a birthday treat or celebration. Go early as there are often queues on weekends/busy periods, and sometimes they sell out of the best options.

Visited today for breakfast. Breakfast options could be improved as there wasn't much on the menu a part from cakes and English breakfast. The atmosphere on the other hand was just perfect: we were surrounded by the most lovely flowers and plants! The service was amazing and our waitress KATKA was very kind and professional.

Embarrassing. We went as a family of 5 for an afternoon tea at Petersham nurseries. The sandwiches are an absolute joke. The rhubarb and cheddar is terrible and the chicken and cranberry sandwich the same (it feels as though it is leftover chicken). The salmon and dill crust is a little better but the crust is clearly frozen pastry. The egg watercress sandwich is better but there is so little and the last one is acceptable. The pastries are better overall but too creamy and fatty and not refined enough. The scones with clotted cream and jam is basic. The teas are good but basic as well. The service wasn’t bad but they didn’t go out if their way to make the experience unforgettable. Considering we paid 65£ a head, this is an absolute disaster! The setting is beautiful so if you are only interested in the setting, please go. For all other reasons, please do not go. We managed to let it go but this was an experience ruined and we were very close to actually leave when we took our first bites. For a great afternoon tea, I recommend the Ham Yard in Soho in the veranda (great experience) I hope you contact me to discuss my experience because I have rarely been as disappointed. Thank you
