So good, really tasty and nice quality. Go to restaurant! Thank you we love it!
The food was pretty good. The orange chicken wasn’t too sweet and the salted crispy tofu, recommended by the server, was exactly that and tasted great!
Very good selection of unusual Chinese dishes. Not an average Chinese place. Prices are in the 12-17 dollars range for mains. Have tried spicy chicken appetizer for the first time. Comes in a cute chicken shaped dish. Not very spicy. I found the signature liver dish to be too oily. The atmosphere is great.
We went around 11am for the lunch specials. The servers weren’t very friendly from the start, and service got worse once the guy who seated us left. Food was okay, a little subpar for evanston. It took about 10 minutes after we were done eating to get a server to give us the check—and when she did she was rude. Overall, meh food (at least what we got), bad service, and bad atmosphere.
Authentic Sichuan Cuisine. That numbing hot spice really hits the spot. 10/10 Delicious Chongqing Chicken (Sichuan La Zi Ji) - aka Spicy Popcorn Chicken. You don't know what you have been missing in your entire life. My wife and I drive up from downtown Chicago just for the food and service. There are other alternatives in Chinatown Chicago, but we still make our way out of the city to go to this special Sichuan specialty restaurant, Peppercorns Kitchen.
The decor is really nice, good ambience the staff that I recently dealt with seemed very polite.
Unfortunately not as good as 3 years ago. Everything has changed - food, service, and atmosphere.
Lots of good authentic options
