Had to give it a try finally and truly enjoyed the place. Fried oyster Po Boy and shrimp Po Boy were outstanding. Great flavor on the shrimp as well. Fried oysters were fresh and tasty. Also had a bowl of gumbo. Great flavor and very well made. Excited to go back again!
Pelican’s Reef is open! This was one of the first restaurants we ate at when we moved to Cincinnati in 2015. My wife and a I love seafood, I grew up on the coast and was raised eating fresh seafood and Pelican’s Reef was always a taste of what I missed the most. We had eaten there several times and were devastated to hear about the fire. We recently heard they had the 2nd floor open for dine-in so we went on a late Saturday afternoon. There is some renovation still going on downstairs but just go through the single door out front on the right side and up the stairs and you are there. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, service was prompt and food was all fresh and delicious. We had fried oysters, Lobster Bisque, Clam chowder, Caesar salads, grilled Mahi-mahi and stuffed grouper. Everything was excellent, fresh and cooked to order. Oysters and fish tasted very fresh and were perfectly cooked. We were so excited to be back at one of our favorite restaurants and enjoyed everything we ordered! Thanks!
Grouper was dried out and burnt like bad chicken.
Can't believe that they were closed for remodeling!
I'm so happy that the Reef Top is open. The Lobster bisque is back and delicious. The wait staff is super friendly and attentive!
Closed for lunch week days. I didn't see that on their website. If it was there.
Always love their grouper, but this time it was burnt and tough as chicken, I had the stuffed grouper, my wife had the sandwich and they were both overdone.
