Pekoe & Bean

So disappointed in this place. I made a reservation for our group for the following day. The morning of our reservation I got an email from them stating our reservation is confirmed for an hour earlier. I called just to confirm the time and was told our reservation was actually in 30 minutes. There was no way for us to be there in 30 minutes so I had to cancel. Then I got two more texts confirming our reservation at 10:45. I looked online and their reservation system still show many reservations for a group of our size at many times including our original request at 11:45. If the reservation system is incorrect, why is it not disabled and state to call for reservations? We came into town to visit family from around the country and planned our day around this activity. It is very disappointing. What’s horrible way to run your business. You need to fix this system. The management of this business needs to handle this better. If we could not get in at our original time of 11:45 or the confirmed time of 10:45, why didn’t we get a call? We would have shown up at 10:45 as confirmed by email and text, and not been seated. How can you run a business like this? Such a disservice to your customers and potential customers. EDIT AFTER OWNERS COMMENT. There were not multiple phone calls apologizing. I called because I was confused by the email changing my reservation time. That’s when I was told we would not be seated. No one called to tell me. We would have shown up and not had a table if I had not called to check. You did call me AFTER I left this review and apologized. Yes, you offered a later time but we already had plans for that time. I appreciate you calling but I stand by my review. The fact that no one called to tell me that we really had no reservation is just bad and disappointing. When I called, I was told they knew about the problem but did not call me. That part is unacceptable. I appreciate your call and apology very much but I was still left disappointed and frustrated. Luckily we found another place to meet but it was not for afternoon tea like we wanted.

All the fixtures are for sale. Service was prompt and it's a really cute area to get some quiet work done or have a light lunch.

I just had a truly great experience! We had reservations for a party and it went well. Everyone was so friendly and it was lovely inside. Our server Diane was awesome and gave us a good attention. The owner even came in to greet us. Felt very welcomed and I found my new favorite spot. I would recommend this place to anyone! Vegetarian options: They have options without meat if needed. Dietary restrictions: I have a red-meat allergy and they were able to give me other options.

First I like to state I didn't know I needed to make a reservation. Secondly, it was very busy and yet we were able sit at the bar. No problem. Even though I apologized for not making a reservation it seemed as if we were not welcome. If I knew that the three of us would be a bother we would have left, no problem. The barista was rude and seemed overwhelmed. I was served a lukewarm latte and I drank it. Our stay was maybe 20 minutes give or take. I said "excuse me" to the barista at the bar. She snapped back "sorry I can't help YOU any more". The whole experience left a sour taste in my mouth.

Always a pleasure. Just relax, choose a favorite or new drink experience...maybe a delicious something to eat.....and enjoy.

The food quality at Pekoe and Bean is incredible and economical. I have not tried all the food they offer but their food is delicious. Another plus is the dining area, where one could escape and relax. Well worth a visit.

Pekoe and Bean is such a wonderful little gem in downtown Tinley Park. What can you expect? Friendly faces, excellent food, coffee, and tea, a beautiful atmosphere, and no desire to leave. Seriously, make a reservation and expect to stay for a couple of hours. Everything on their seasonally rotated menu is delicious and full of sweet and savory delights. Their coffee, tea, and other beverages are the perfect pairing; all crafted and selected with care. I cannot stop recommending this place! Enjoy!

I love pekoe and bean, they have amazing options to choose from and they are very accommodating. I love going there and getting waitress ally. She makes my time more pleasant, I will always be coming back and asking for ally.
