The best little indie bookstore ❤️I get all my must have, fresh release fiction here: VE Schwab, Sarah J Mass, Roshani Chokshi, and Neil Gaiman. Lovely owners and yummy coffee. A bookworm's paradise!

We love having a cozy, independent book store in town. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owners are very supportive of our Denton community. This place is a treasure!

PROs: Small and cozy. The clerk was friendly and welcoming, he gave a little detail of the shop and how it came to be. Small designated gift shop of candles, sage, and other eclectic items. Drip coffee is available. Many genres to choose from and very organized. Clean restrooms. CONs: Parking. Hit or miss to find parking close to any establishments.

Patchouli Joes is not only the best bookstore in Denton, but a home away from home for me and many others. The folks at Patchouli Joes learn your name, your story, and your interests. There’s always a warm cup of coffee, and a friendly face to help you find just what you’re looking for. I have attended many events at PJ’s, from midnight releases and community fundraisers, to independent author festivals. The Patcholigans are constantly looking for ways to help others, give back to the Denton community, and create an inclusive environment. Now the folks at PJ’s feel like family Can’t wait to see the other amazing things they’ll do!

Friendly, cozy, and just an all-around cute store with something for everyone to enjoy!

Went in with my son and daughter to get a book about Ronald Reagan. We were accosted by the clerk and I was called a fascist. Think I'll buy my books at Amazon from now on.

The best independent bookstore around! I love the unique sections and ways they support returning customers.

This place is such a great addition to the Denton Square scene. The owners have such a great feel for the Denton vibe. They select so many great books, and specialize in local talent. They also have a great events schedule. Stop in if you are roaming around the square or make a trip to the square to see them...just get there.

It has a nice atmosphere and is a place where you can take a break. It was a good experience.
