Having just returned from Europe, I was excited to see Pars Baguette. It looks like any normal street bakery you would find in France or Germany. Nothing special just everyday type of stuff. The taste is a bit bland, but ok. The reason I rated them so low is the prices I paid the equivalent of 6 usd a week or so ago for what I was charged 15.00 for here Oh and served on PAPER PLATES At their prices you would expect bone China but the least they could do it give you a real plate and a fork. The coffee is om but for so.e reason americans think Latte means coffee flavored milk. I have never had a decent Latte in the U.S. I for an extra shot which I didn't get. OK it might be cheaper than traveling to Paris but these prices are just abusive. Sorry PB but your just not worth the price.
I ordered a custom Heart shaped cake for my birthday, after being on the phone yesterday and holding to make sure they can do it they called me back to confirm and said YES they could do it with simple black happy birthday lettering. YET when I picked up said cake is WASN'T at all what I wanted / asked for. The guy kinda just stood their and said if a baker was in he'd have them fix it but since they aren't he couldn't do anything about it. Which didn't help me at all in feeling upset. I was so upset I had to walk out to the car and cry while my husband finished paying for this cake I would've NEVER EVER gotten otherwise. It completely ruined my special day today, I'll never get another cake again.
Such a beautiful shop! Paris Baguette could be anywhere in the United States. Amazing pastries and sandwiches. Just an amazing find while traveling for business in my favorite home away from home!
