There were only 2 employees working. They were very kind and hard working but the store was severely understaffed and out of ingredients. The facility is beautiful but very few customers inside.
It took about 10 mins for someone to realize we were there. Finally saw someone peaking around the corner and we said hi and they disappeared. Suddenly a group of the employees were standing there and we said hi again and no one acknowledged. It was so bad I just had to laugh it off like social skills aren’t a thing anymore? Just look at each other? Finally one of the employees came out of the back and took our order. Food was awesome though, then we got to listen to every customer come in and ask anyone work here 😆
Oct. 17th, 2024 - My family and I arrived about 30 minutes before closing. The manager welcomed us right away and explained that some items may not be available due to the late hour. Very respectable. Food was great and we didn't feel rushed to leave by closing. We appreciate the hospitality by the manager after a long drive. Thank you!
I didn’t even get to eat. I walked in started looking at the menu the place was humid and smelled. By other reviews I see why. This location needs good management it seems. Haven’t heard a good thing about this location since it’s opened, gave it a try couldn’t even stay due to the smell and temp.
I had my grandkids today, my oldest is 11yrs old and she wanted to eat here. She wanted the soup in a bread bowl and the manager told us they didn't have them today and apologized for that. So she got her soup with baguette bread we all ordered what we wanted and they didn't call our name when it was ready, they actually brought our food out to us and gave the kids and I a dessert pastry of our choice on the house! Excellent service and food like you rarely get that anymore! 5 STARS for sure!!
I can see why they have bad reviews. The building itself is new and shiny and looks great. But the service is slow and it just seems like everybody inside is bored and would rather not be there.
The coffee I wanted wasn’t available and what they did have was cold. They need more or better management of this location.
I came in about 45 minutes before close after a day of travel and staff was friendly and helpful. My order totally hit the spot. Grateful the team took care and made me feel welcome at the end of the day.
This location is pathetic. I've eaten at Panera many times in Missouri & was so excited when I learned they were coming to Amarillo. But this one is nothing like the good ones I'm used to. Save your money & don't bother with this one it's just not worth it.
I want to take a minute to say something about Panera Bread. The fact that you guys have no AC in your building and your employees aren’t allowed to wear shorts isn’t fair to them. It’s been over 100 degrees and from what I heard the AC had been broken for over a week. I watched the DM send an employee home because she was wearing shorts but her shorts were appropriate. She wasn’t showing anything so I don’t see a problem with why she had to go home. I understand places have their dress code but if you guys want your employees to follow that I suggest fixing the AC so they don’t pass out.
It's alright, I know this Panera has had a tough time since it's opening. It's food never disappoints but customer service and cleanliness does. Not to mention the prices are absolutely ridiculous, just go to an actual restaurant. Me and my partner went here last week and an employee was smoking weed at the back, manager seems unprofessional in front of customers.
The food is good here, But the way they built this building was not meant for the Texas heat. One side of the building is all glass windows, and I had to eat with the sun in my face. Also there were a lot of fruit flies in the seating area. I was hard to enjoy my meal…
It was hot and drive thru took awhile
On a long roadtrip, Panera is one of our favorite places to stop. It was 104 degrees yesterday, yes it was a little warm in the restaurant but Addison and the whole team were friendly and went above a beyond to get our order right!
