Patty Murphy's Pub is a hidden gem that effortlessly marries the charm of a traditional Irish pub with the allure of exceptional, home-crafted beverages and distinctive snacks. A standout experience for visitors is undoubtedly their amazing home cider. This isn't your run-of-the-mill cider; it's a masterful creation that captures the essence of expertly curated apples, resulting in a drink that's both refreshing and complex, with a depth of flavor that's absolutely to die for. It's the kind of drink that not only quenches your thirst but also leaves a lasting impression, making you yearn for just one more sip. But what truly sets Patty Murphy's apart is their iconic gigantic pretzel. This isn't just any pretzel; it's an epicurean marvel that redefines what you thought possible in the world of baked dough. Its sheer size is a spectacle in itself, but it's the taste and texture that steal the show. Perfectly baked to achieve a golden crust while maintaining a soft, chewy interior, it's a pretzel that elevates the humble snack to new heights. Paired with their signature dipping sauces, each bite is a delightful journey through flavors and sensations. The atmosphere at Patty Murphy's adds another layer to the experience. Stepping into the pub, you're greeted by an ambiance that's both cozy and vibrant, a place where the troubles of the outside world seem to melt away as you're immersed in good cheer and the camaraderie of fellow patrons. In conclusion, Patty Murphy's Pub is more than just a place to grab a drink; it's a sanctuary for those who appreciate the finer things in life, like a cider that dances on your palate and a pretzel that's nothing short of legendary. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to make their night out a memorable one.

WELL WORN Irish pub that I am sure has seen a lot of fun late nights. Had the Guinness barbecue pub burger. Cooked perfect. A bun that held up to the half pound of beef. House potato chips were excellent. Of course Guinness and Harp Beer on tap. Gets crowded, even for lunch.

I am an Irish pub connoisseur. Very niche restaurant with a small but very Irish pub feel dining room and nice views of the old buildings of downtown Bangor. This place is good, although seating is limited and they even have live music. Gets the official stamp of approval from the Irish Pub Connoisseur Committee.

three strikes - ordered takeout three different times.. tried five things on the menu... HARD pass. chicken tenders are actually chicken cutlets and are mediocre at best.. onion rings were overcooked.. then, tried the mac and cheese - safe, right? WRONG! whole cloves of garlic and absolutely disgusting! next time it was the bowl of french onion soup (a four ounce bowl, by the way) with a poor excuse for a slice of bread (not even toasted) on the side rather than actual croutons in the soup.. the bread had a thick layer of not even melted swiss cheese (isn't it supposed to be Gruyere?) .. the broth tasted like straight up beer.. onions not cooked nearly long enough or sliced correctly.. so gross! and the fried cheese curds were a sore disappointment as well.. the "marinara" that they come with needs to be eaten with a fork and just isn't good at all.. save your money or go to Geaghan's if you're set on an Irish spot. Never again..
