It was really nice to see people share their art and expression there, it was genuinely inspiring. However upon arrival I felt immediately rejected and criticized because of my use of a cell phone and need to pay a charity event through my phone as I do not carry cash and they did not take cards, which had not been mentioned online. I was instead barreled through and in no way assisted until one person mentioned I could donate online. I was not welcomed with open arms. Throughout the night those I talked with immediately assumed that I was judging everything, which in no way did I start that way but when you are continuously told to have an open mind it really shows you how closed the minds of others can be just because you do not match their esthetic.
I did enjoy some of the performances and thought it great to see that much self expression. I would recommend checking it out. I'm hoping they are acting less like gatekeepers now and are more welcoming to folk that want to learn more and get involved in their community.
There's a small blonde kid there from time to time. Good kid, tries hard. Good conversationalist. 10/10 would go again.
10/10 will visit again. Amazing creative space with decent accommodations upstairs and a fully usable kitchen. And last but not least, the resident dog is beautiful and very friendly.
Great musicians, relaxed atmosphere on Monday evenings.
Great place, excellent management. Lots of local musicians on Mondays.
A community hub for music and the arts, Heather is deeply kind, fierce and ecologically minded. A Monday must 😁
