I've been a regular at O.G.'s since they first opened their doors. I've witnessed the bar evolve from its initial days, and while the extensive beer selection is impressive, I find myself drawn to their intriguing specialty drinks like the whiskey ice tea. Despite not being a big beer drinker, O.G. has a certain charm that keeps me coming back. The pricing can be a bit on the higher side, but the experience is definitely worth it. The food has undergone a remarkable transformation over the years, going from overly fussy and politically correct options to chef-inspired creations, culminating in the fantastic menu they offer today. The cheese soup is particularly noteworthy, practically whispering in my ear every weekend, "you need this soup to face the coming week," and their flavourful macaroni and cheese is equally delightful. Beyond the excellent food, the staff is incredibly welcoming, and the owner is always available and actively seeks feedback for improvement. O.G. truly embodies the spirit of "Cheers," providing a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like a second home.——- Mark
Unfortunately the kitchen was closed when we visited but it's a shame there are only 4 mains on the menu anyway. The pricing of the beer is crazy, the cheapest 12oz/ 355mL is $8, plus tax. The retail shop is equally insulting with most beers well over $5, some of which are available at LCBO for half the price? Staff were nice and it was dog friendly.
Love this spot! Great Food and Drink selection. Trivia on Thursday night is always a blast!
The people that work there are very nice. But unfortunately the place has no vibe and it's always a bit of a library feel, I hope they do well. But it's not a place I'd crave to go to. At best I would do a bit of work there in the afternoon, but I wouldn't hang out there for a night.
