Lovely little “50s American” style diner. The cheese and chilli loaded onion rings are outstanding, order some as soon as possible as a taster (between two) or a single starter while you decide what you want as a main meal. The ice cream milkshakes are massive and thick, just the way they should be. All served promptly with a smile. Recommended stop on your way north (or even south, it’s worth a few miles of detour - so much better than a regular service station). Parking: The car park isn’t huge, but neither is the diner. You certainly won’t get a truck or even a trailer / caravan in without making yourself very unpopular / being in the way, unless you’re very lucky. Also the exit back on to the A1 is a very short junction, like many on the A1.
My experience here was great I met a gentlemen called Luke Hatton he gave me amazing customer support
