Oaklands Hotel

Unbelievably BAD experience!! Room stank, so very politely asked for an air freshener to make the room tolerable. Was met with extreme aggression by the owner who then kicked us out. This then escalated to a huge situation where he flipped and accused us of drug use and phoned the police! Could not believe it at all. Never had an experience or been treated like this before. Do not go here this manager does not deserve to be serving guests at all

Lovely food and the service was amazing! I’d like to personally thank our Waitress Georgia for making sure everything was to our liking, would definitely come here again!

Unfortunately I have to say I was rather disappointed and shocked. Firstly the hallway to the bedrooms smelt bad,the room wasn't aired and was stale,the shower had black mould, the outside area is somewhat unkempt and in the covered area is showing wear from cats and bird debris on chair backs, my booking was not recognised by the staff member on arrival and questioned by the manager in the morning regarding payment due to communication issues, breakfast was good but unfortunately the £85 I paid for the room with ensuite felt like it was very overpriced and reducing the price still wouldn't make up for the general poor finish. I cant believe this happens nowadays in a area minutes from Delamere forest, I really don't want to appear problematic but leaving the place was a relief, I felt like I'd ended a absolutely amazing day at nunsmere Hall just 7 minutes away and encountered a place that has been left uncared for, for to long and I will never be returning, I felt rather uneasy with the experience

Hotel is very dated, horrible smells as you go to your rooms! All sorts of Staines on the carpet, bed is uncomfortable didn’t dare try the food after seeing the state of the place. Will not be returning.

ok so first off I would like to address this review by saying this is an outstanding hotel and I would reccomend it to all my friends and family, dog loved it ou nice cheap drinks and also had the best nights sleep possible , anyways this was a great hotel and loved my stay
