Was looking forward to a local business but Not impressed, expensive compared to other fish and chip restaurants. Very small portions. The chips were soft and not crunchy. The grilled fish was tiny and cold. The popcorn shrimp was barely cooked and way too salty. Was supposed to be a memorable family dinner, definitely not trying again.
Great shop that I have frequented many times. But you got to get rid of that nasty rude man working in restaurant part tonite. Gray hair older. ......unfortunately he gets zero for customers service. Very very rude
Meal very mediocre some fish chewy not fresh Order was 120$+ without any tarter sauce for the fish and chips which should be standard. The small coslaw not worth price it is the size of ketchup container. Not to mention I had to reach out to skip the dish delivery because MISSING the order if fish, poorly packaged, half the fries not in container in the bag and requested gluten free bun less salmon burger and that was not what they gave me. One piece of the fish was smaller than filet o fish at McDonald's size. So very disappointing meal 2hrs later didn't bother take photo
Oak Bay Seafood has excellent fish and chips. They understand take-out and how to let the fish rest before boxing it up. Well done.
Highly recommend. Super tasty, fresh food & friendly staff! The salmon belly bites, fish and chips as well as the chowder are fantastic
In the past we have always appreciated good value for the salmon burger as it had a good sized piece of salmon. Last night there was way more bun than salmon. Also, the side of slaw was $3.50 for approximately 2tablespoons. Shrinkflation!!
Tough call here. I love the local feel. But the chowder we got was mostly broth, and the broth wasn't even great. The fish and chips are significantly smaller portions compared to Finest at Sea, and the quality might be a tad less too, despite being more expensive.
One of the best places to enjoy GLUTEN FREE everything! The menu has so many great options to cater to gluten free needs without compromising on flavour and texture. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of food and feasted on some delicious crab as well. In addition to great menu items, there’s also a wonderful selection of pantry foods and house made products you can purchase (soups, pickles and frozen seafood items). The only downside is they close at 7pm, so you need to plan for lunch or an earlier dinner. There are limited tables and the ambience isn’t anything fancy. Overall, great value and amazing seafood options. Friendly staff and great food! Worth a stop if you are in Oak Bay.
