Loved this place. As of Feb 26th they’re still not open and have a suspended sign on their door. Bummer their socials don’t indicate this would have saved me an hour trip I made just to eat there.
Used to love this place but they went downhill. Then today I drive all the way there and see they are closed with “suspended” signs on the windows. The only thing worse than getting shut down by the food dept. is not updating your hours and having people come for nothing.
Was happy to see my people operating this establishment in gentrified DC. Best vegan mac and cheese and lasagna that ive had In 7 different cities. Crab cake was awesome. Greens was good. Cabbage was good. The CHIKIN SALAD!!!!!!! BANGIN!!!Hubby and I ate everything! WILL be back next time ee visit DC. Vegetarian options: All vegan Parking: Depends on what time of day, parking can be impossible. Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp.
They were shut down by the health dpt… makes sense because everything has gone down hill. Employees clearly don’t care and not one person who works there is Vegan so no one understands what they are serving and the purpose of the food. This is basically an expensive McDonald’s for vegans. Sad. I feel sorry for anyone who has spent there money here
Prices went up and food quality went down. I used to love this place, but I went recently, and the food was not good. They also removed the student discount and rewards program. I will not be returning.
MY FAVORITE PLACE I VISIT ATLEAST ONCE A WEEK GREENS AN CHICK PEA
The food was as expected the dining area is cold the chairs were not comfortable the room has the appearance of an institution cafeteria, barren. Navigating from the purchase of food to another room to eat can be a challenge as the door to the dining area pulls open. Their previous location flowed better
Delicious!!! My favorite crab cake sandwich and the Mac and cheese.. I treated myself for my Birthday. Happy Birthday to me. I ate it to fast no time for picture this time. Next time which won't be long. Thank you Nu Vegan!! You Rock!! Parking: I got lucky but yes there is parking. No worries.
I decided to visit this place yesterday. I had heard about it so I was looking forward to it. The good: The place was nice, the atmosphere was nice, the people were nice. The not so good: Many items missing from the menu. I ended up trying the vegan ribs which were ok...the cabbage was not good at all. Dry and overly crunchy and the taste was part bland part spicy just not good. The Mac and cheese was mid...it had flavor but if you're anywhere near a texture person this probably will not be for you. I'm used to the pricing in vegan spots so there wasn't much sticker shock but when you have to toss anything it hurts a little more. Overall it was ok. I've definitely had better.
Best vegan chicken around. The Cheeseburger hits the spot and the sides are all delicious.
