Novotel Leeds Centre

Our second stay at Novotel Leeds was as great as the first. The welcome at reception was one of the best Iv had checking into a hotel and everything was easy and explained clearly. Parking available and is good value for a city centre. Our room was immaculate with a very comfy bed, a great nights sleep was had followed by a hearty breakfast that was all fresh with a very plentiful selection. Thank you to all of team Leeds.

Nice hotel that we have stayed in many times with friends / family and also for business, very well located . Unfortunately they have went cashless , and now will be staying hotels who are happy to take our cash . Friends colleagues and family feel the same Rooms: Nice clean rooms Food & drinks: Some food overpriced , some not. Breakfast was very nice . But can’t pay for anything with cash. Very dissapointing

Stayed in one of the roadside rooms and could hear the cars running past on and off the whole night. The lady at the reception was very indifferent and offered no help when I asked for earplugs or a room change. She acted like she couldn’t care less about the customers’ experience. I ended up having no sleep at all. Literally the worst experience I’ve had at Novotel.

The main take-backs are the great central location close to the train station and the friendly and helpful staff with always a smile on their faces. Rooms were also pretty good. Shower and WC were interestingly separated, but the WC should then have had a wash basin for that to work perfectly. The shower had to be operated on a trial and error basis as it had no signs. The bed was very good (hard) for me. The mini-bar only had a water (free) in it. The HDMI panel did not work and there was no QR code so could not access any information (I later got this from the cleaning lady). I constantly got decaf coffee pods instead of traditional ones which were a bit frustrating but no biggie as I asked for the others in reception. And to offer a pod coffee machine is a plus. The breakfast was good with lots of cold cuts, fruits, good coffee and the no. 1 requirement scrambled eggs and bacon. The restaurant / bar was also good with a lot of variety of both drinks and barfood. I was visiting my kids in Newcastle and Leeds over the Easter and chose Novotel to try something new. All in all a very good stay and experience and my first with Accor and Novotel. Not my last.
