NOTL Bar & Restaurant

I am not a big drinker at all, but I know what I like. It was my first night of my night stay and I popped down to the bar for a drink. What a great idea. I got to meet Brando one of the best bartenders I’ve met in a long time. He really knows his stuff takes his time listens and understands what needs to be done for the guest. I even went back down later for another drink before bed and was so happy I did. I got to meet Justin who seems to be new but so sweet and chatty Rich. These guys have a great connection and you can tell they enjoy what they do just by listening to their banter. Brando took such great care of me, and I highly recommend that you just tell him what you like and let him create a sensational, flavourful drink for you. Otherwise, their variety of drink options are at the level of a speakeasy bar in downtown Toronto. On my last night, I popped in after a visit to Peller Estates (see my other review). Beth was on duty with Jess. Because I’ve been drinking wine I didn’t wanna mix so I stuck with a nice riesling. Beth was awesome to watch as she navigated the drink orders and tending to the bar. The banter between Jess And Beth was so fluid and comfortable to be around. It seems that everyone is very much like a family here. It translates well for a guest to see that and makes for enjoyable memories. Just take in the beautiful quiet, relaxed atmosphere. You can sit at the bar or in a secluded little cove, or even just a table and still get the same amazing service. I didn’t eat at the restaurant so I really can’t tell you how it is but if it’s like the rest of this beautiful place, the meal must be a memorable experience for your tastebuds. I saw the Amuse Bouche that came out and it looked yummy! I hope you all enjoy your time at NOTL Bar As much as I did. Tell them Sunny sent you ❤️ ‍♀️

My boyfriend and I were really excited to come here due to the great reviews, but we left unsatisfied for the price we paid. Cocktails weren’t great and the proscuitto brushchetta only came with 2 small crostini’s with overly large cuts of tomato which made it difficult to eat. Additionally, we both had the beef tenderloin which was tasty, but it came with only 2 small slices of potato and a small amount of greens. We left hungry and ended up needing to order pizza. I believe the current menu is seasonal, so maybe it is just a bad time of year. Though the ambiance of this restaurant is great, I would not recommend it for the price.

Please do yourself a favor and make sure you have Brandon B mix you up a drink! He thinks outside the box and never disappoints! Very personable!

Great cocktails, delicious food and modern artistic decor. A gem in NOTL for sure. The Salmon and the short rib were cooked to perfection, melding the flavours in each bite. Thank you for the excellent food, Gavin and the outstanding customer service, Meghan! Highly recommend!

We ate dinner here twice while staying at the Inn package. The food and service are 10 out of 10 and my only complaint is the amount of food, we felt bad leaving so much food but we could only eat what we could. They did a good job of seating area as you felt like you were private dinning in most spots. We had the Burger, onion rings, chicken club, shrimp and beef ribs – all were done to perfection. My wife liked the cocktails and I enjoyed a local beer.

The night started out well, we got our drinks quickly and our appetizer. The wedge salad was OK. Disappointing that the “smoked ham” was cut up deli meat. After that, it was all downhill. Our mains took almost 2 hours to arrive. We were told that something happened with the machine and the order didn’t go through to the kitchen. However, we placed our order for our mains with our appetizer and that came out no problem. Other tables were also being told that the food was taking longer than expected. When we finally got our food, it was OK. Nothing to write home about. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Amazing atmosphere and fantastic cocktails. The wine menu was also impressive. Next time we visit we will be looking to stay at the hotel.

Came for dinner on a Saturday night and left feeling that the whole experience was mediocre. The service wasn't great and they seemed understaffed. The cocktails and food took a long time to come. The tuna bowl was dramatically overseasoned and overdressed. There was literally a pool of dressing at the bottom of the bowl. The seafood Bouillabase wasn't really a Bouillabase. The table beside us complained that the spicy shrimp appetizer was too saucy and the server admitted that it's usually more boiled off than that, but didn't apologize or offer to fix it. Maybe we experienced the B team of staff, but that doesn't make you feel great. The food was fine but I wouldn't recommend or go back.
