Food was so good, actually good. My Italian parents were impressed yummm. Everyone who worked there were also so kind and had amazing customer service. Will definitely come back the next time we are in the area.
Love this place almost feels like I am in Italy again. Can't wait to go back. The roasted salmon & bolognese are amazing. Also highly recommended the fig pizza.
Great Italian menu and food, extensive wine list. Meatball app very good, as was the roasted branzino and pasta dishes we had.
First time eating the crispy eggplant parmesan and rice balls. Both were great!
On a search for a salmon dinner within walking distance near my South End home, I decided on North Italia, part of the Fox Restaurant Concepts chain. While I generally prefer supporting local establishments, I find the offerings from Fox Restaurant Concepts to be an exception to my rule, often delivering a satisfying dining experience. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a highly attentive and knowledgeable waitress, Tiffanie, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. The restaurant boasts a welcoming atmosphere, featuring an outdoor patio, a full indoor bar, and a comfortable dining area that is notably accessible to all guests. My dining experience began with an order of Zucca Chips (zucchini chips). Although served in a generous portion and arriving hot from the fryer, they were somewhat disappointing due to their oily nature and the predominance of broken pieces over whole slices. A pinch of sea salt or a complementary dipping sauce could have enhanced this starter. The main course was the roasted salmon, elegantly plated with caramelized romanesco, broccolini, fregola (similar to Israeli couscous), house pesto, lemon gremolata, and affinato (a type of balsamic vinegar). Despite the appealing presentation, the dish fell slightly short of expectations. The salmon, while cooked to the correct medium temperature, lacked a certain zest, which could have been remedied with a simple lemon wedge. The serving of broccolini was notably scant. However, the combination of fregola with pesto and gremolata did contribute positively to the dish’s overall flavor profile. In summary, while the meal at North Italia was generally satisfying, there were areas where slight improvements could have enhanced the dining experience significantly. Would I consider dining there again? Possibly, though I would be inclined to explore other local Italian options before returning.
This restaurant gets an F! Why is because of the bar tenders at this place! Shaniqua was the rudest person ever. I was waiting for my order which was from a third-party online order. After the order was placed ot took me 20 minutes to get to the restaurant and still After waiting 20 more minutes the order was still not ready. What madey blood boil was the lack of empathy that these bartenders shown. It was "that's on you if you want to wait or not. So ghetto! It should have been , we apologize we know it's important for you to serve your customer as well by getting their delivery to them in a timely manner. We appreciate your patience. The true heros shine under pressure. They don't have any heros here. They lack empathy, They have no sense if urgency for their online orders and they don't respect the people who delivery these orders. They forget that delivery drivers are customers to and we tell these horror stories on our social media as I will do today. Instead of bye Felicia. It's by Shaniqua. One of the most fake, disingenuous people there
I feel like the pasta should come with a side salad or soup . $7+ for bread is crazy. I’m just used to going to restaurants that offer complimentary bread as you wait . My pasta barely came with any “Parmesan” sauce ( completely dry ) & when I ask for some , I get charged $3.50 for it. I’ll just go to Carrabas next time when I’m craving Italian food. The flavor of the food was great though :) Parking: I parked at the ABC store . Every parking spot I saw , I think you have to pay for .
