Good price, good environment

Arrived at the pub on a Friday evening and ordered food and drink. We ordered two meals which arrived fairly quickly however items were missing from both meals which were listed on the menu. The chips were over cooked, chicken was burnt and very very dry and rest of food was just not at a standard you would expect. Nobody came to ask if everything was ok with the meal either. Surprised at lack of customer care considering we were the only ones in there eating. In addition to this ordered a bitter shandy which was flat, completely flat. They simply said that it was the last one out of the barrel and no replacement was offered. We had also ordered desert, but waited a long time for this and nobody came to remove meal dishes. In the end I had to clear the table myself and go and ask for desert at the bar. When I raised issues at the bar, I was told I would have to go and find the manager to give my complaint. On speaking with the manager I asked to be given the details for head office as I intended making a complaint. The details I asked for were refused. However, I was given a refund for the food and drink. Not good experience at all. I had been years ago and was very good. It was clear the place has gone massively down hill since then.

Excellent value for money great service lovely food would go again

Went in today, my girlfriend asked to change a drink as it tasted funny and the response off the staff was they have not been cleaned the draft pumps, and the staff came to our table saying your not ordering food are you as my friend grabbed the food menu, as we are stopping food soon the waitress didn't have her hair tied up bringing food to the table , then we had a game of pool half an hour later then to have the staff saying your not wanting anymore drinks are you as we are shutting soon at 8pm on a Sunday where on the website it's open till half 10 11pm poor very poor I wouldnt waste your money coming to this pub doesn't even deserve a star I had to put 1 as I wouldn't be able to post this!!!!

Lovely place past it slot of times and always wanted to try it and now i am and it's​ a beautiful place
