Delicious parmesan risotto! Never tried before, chef made it special for lunch

Celebrating New Year's Eve at Nico and Vali Italian Eatery in Plymouth, Michigan, was an absolute delight. The service was impeccable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for my wife and me. The wine selection complemented the evening perfectly, and the short rib was a culinary masterpiece. Nico and Vali provided a memorable dining experience, making it a perfect choice for a special occasion. We look forward to returning for more exceptional meals in the future.

Lovely, intimate setting with full bar and fantastic service. Reservations are highly recommended. While the Italian cuisine is certainly the venue, I enjoy the steak and seafood! The portions are just right and while the fare isn't for the faint of heart, it's certainly worth the expense.

I don't like leaving negative reviews, and I don't feel it's fair judging based on only the last less than positive experience, so this 2 star review averages a solid 4 star lunch with a 0 star dinner experience. Visited this summer for lunch at ~2pm, when it was mostly dead. Had fantastic butternut squash ravioli with shrimp added, caesar salads and whitefish. Server Joe was excellent. We couldn't wait to go back for dinner. We believe that restaurants are at their best when they're not busy, so we went at 4pm on a Saturday for my wife's 50th birthday. I mentioned the occasion when I made the reservation and again when we sat down. We perhaps made the mistake of sitting at the bar for dinner, where we were basically ignored for 60 minutes by the staff. I ordered a $37 ribeye that was a 1/4" thick and looked like it came from Dollar General. My wife's lemon shrimp was served in a bath of butter that was somehow tasteless. Caesar salads were drowned in dressing and again somehow bland. The occasion was forgotten until we cashed out when we were offered a birthday canoli in a box to go. This place has some potential, but the execution and management of staff is severely lacking. I say go elsewhere to spend your $100+. (photo is the soup that remained from the lemon shrimp, I poured it out and did not finish the dish)

My wife and I ordered a carry out and were very delighted with the entire meal. The squash ravioli and bucatini carbonara were excellent. We can't wait to schedule a date night here! Bravo to all the staff there on a job well done!!

I have had the pleasure of dining twice here in the last month & it was amazing both times! From the wonderful staff, warm inviting atmosphere, & amazing food I can see why it's so busy everytime I have been in. They really know how to bring the experience back to dining & can't wait to be back in the new year!

Vegetarian options: Small plates and Bread were pretty good. Baked Brie and crostini and Hallomi were good. For Main course we tried the Butternut squash ravioli it was too sweet for our taste.
