The tortilla soup was here for *ages* and then they got rid of it during a season when it's wanted most. Like. I love this place but that was dumb and upsetting. I was told it left for the season and that's a lie unless a season lasts over a year for them. I thought it became permanent. Nope. I wanted to knock off two stars because this had an effect on how often I visit but my partner convinced me to drop one. Again, I love this place. But the removal of the tortilla soup was a much larger betrayal than I could have anticipated. Updated to 3 stars since service has taken quite a hit. Things have been more consistently wrong or missing from orders and this location went from never letting us down to doing so almost every other visit. This is why we can't have nice things. People ruin them. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available. Wheelchair accessible. Kid friendly but that doesn't mean the employees are there to babysit. Parents can drop off kids next door if they don't wanna keep the child in check because people are trying to eat in peace.
We were in the mood for some Deli Style Sandwiches and decided to try a spot we've never visited before. Newk's Eatery happened to be within our driving range, so we stopped by. We both ordered the half and half combo (The Royal and Turkey Avocado) along with lobster bisque soup and Caesar Salad. We ordered an additional Mac n Cheese, bag of chips, along with 2 drinks. Everything was pretty much straightforward, and to the point, food tasted good, and the soup was hot and tasty. The price for 2 people came out to almost $40, which seems a bit high, but nonetheless, the food was good enough for us to consider coming back to try some of the other items on the menu.
Horrible service. SLOW! You don’t put two extremely slow (2 men) together one at the register one filling orders that never works. They have orders backed up 25 deep! What happened to the great NEWK’S ? Pay your staff better so the great ones stay.
Great sandwiches, great soups, clean place. I almost feel ashamed for not trying them out sooner. I especially like their turkey and Swiss sandwich, Caesar salad and loaded baked potato soup, but you won't go wrong getting something else. Very highly recommended.
Great place for lunch. Had cup of tomato basil soup and caeser salad. Both very good and just enough food to not feel stuffed. Wife had News club and fruit cup. Both very good. Lots of fruit with just the right sweetness.
The sandwiches and salad is pretty good.
