Great tasting bagels , also enjoyed breakfast sandwich and went back for Lunch , only knock would be the girl at the counter definitely not the freindlist. Everyone else was very friendly and someone from the kitchen actually came out and let taste the pastrami which is fantastic

Delicious bagels!! Highly recommend!

Only bought two muffins for takeout and they were very good. I am sure all of his items are as good as well. The one star rating concerns pricing. He has over priced his menu for this local economy. Maybe they would be OK for NOVA but are way too high for here. I wish him luck but doubt about how long he will stay in business after the initial purchases by curious consumers. This isn't Katz's whose prices are for tourists.

I don't care what anyone says! The bagels are just like NYC, and so is the pastrami! The Closet thing to Katz ya gonna get ! Any negative reviews, just look at who's giving them!! Signed Native Bronx New Yorker!!

I'm not sure about this place. We have been going to Brooklyn Bagel near Pongo, 25 min drive, and those bagels are much bigger. But NY Bagel is so much closer, so we were so happy to give them a try and have a breakfast sandwich. It was ok..not $13.00 ok, but maybe $8.00 ok. The egg tasted like it was cooked on an old grill and had lots of black stuff on it. I'm not sure what that was. Plan to go back for a lunch pastrami. Only a true NY place can perfect pastrami. First, I understand it’s Father’s Day. But this is where store leadership should be more transparent. My wife has been here before and loved it - this was my first experience. The first 5 bagel selections were all out - and we were told we could wait 20 minutes for it to be made. Instead, I chose a bagel selection that was already available. Fast forward 40 minutes later - we’re still waiting for our order. The Empire State had barely any pastrami. Neither one of our orders are worth the almost $13 each. No apologies, no communication. Nothing. I can’t see myself giving this place another shot as I have no faith in their ability to communicate, handle guest concerns, or deal with any volume.

This place has so much potential but they are failing miserably. This is our second time trying because we wanted to give them another chance. Shouldn’t have done it. Counters are filthy. Employees have open drinks at the counter. They don’t let you know that there will be a long wait for your food. Food is ordered, receipt given with number and orders are STILL WRONG. They replace a bagel with whatever they feel like if they are out. So an Asiago bagel became a pepperoni bagel. How is that an equal replacement? Not to mention it came out wrong again when they remade it. Glad we were eating in instead of taking it home wrong. They did remedy it, but by the time it was fixed, the rest of our party was finished or eating cold food because they waited. The employees seem genuinely kind and want to help, but they need more employees or a better system. Won’t be back until they figure it out. I hope they make it since Chesapeake needs a good breakfast option and the food (when correct) is delicious . *our order was refunded which we appreciate, but would much rather pay and receive what we ordered in a timely manner.

So far from tasting like a NY bagel that the name of this place is blasphemy. I know Norfolk is a bit out of the way but Yorgo's bagels are 1000 times better.
