I found this bagel shop years ago when I lived nearby, and I came back today to have the best bagels around in all of the Studio City area. The Works Lox bagel sandwich was incredible. I highly recommend for a quick breakfast or lunch stop!

Absolutely love this place. Every time we come there is live music and such a good vibe. i always get the Veg Out bagel ( great vegan options and they’re all clearly labeled ) and it’s one of the best bagel sandwiches I’ve ever had. every time my husband and i leave talking about how “we need to come here more” and how we need to leave a review. So here i am, highly recommend.

Every once in a while I come across a truly special place… this is one. Alkaline water brewed organic Papa New Guinea coffee, the best bagels, and a welcoming family-oriented New York vibe. I almost didn’t stop and km glad I did. Will be back again and again.

Went here because I heard they have gluten free bagels. They charge over $4 for a single bagel so I’m assuming they made there. Or at least good. No. They pulled them out of the freezer and heated it up. It was terrible. Hard as a hockey puck. Do not go here for gluten free anything.

No doubt, this is a rough time for everyone. Like everything else in life, you don’t realize what you’re missing until it’s gone. One of the unfortunate truths that so many eateries are facing is, of course, slower business (and therefore, shortening of hours, which then just adds to listening the business), and on top of everything else - - everyone’s got less money to spread around. It’s not easy on anyone’s side, but I share “the obvious” as helpful guidance to any owner who cares about a rebound: If you’re lucky to have a new customer walk through your door, don’t “bitter” the experience by griping about how busy you used to be, what a bummer Business is now. While we all understand that’s a human thing, to vent to a friendly Stranger, it doesn’t exactly help ANYone on either side of the exchange. Like so many , business is way down as well, but I try to spread the pennies around by frequenting local eateries, treating myself to something delightful once a week or two. The ambience is perfectly serviceable. It’s not exactly a recreation of a New York deli, but that’s fine. It’s pleasant enough. The food was fine, wasn’t exceptional, and like a few other reviews mention, the bagels are smaller than one would hope. (New York bagels tend to be generous in size, not so much here.) For one bagel with lox and tomato etc, a second bagel to nosh on later, and two cans of soda, I paid over $30. Honestly, it’s perfectly good, I would just encourage Ownership to not take bitterness and New York sarcasm too far… maybe choose to be a pleasure to interact with, so customers wish to recommend and return. (I promise, politeness isn’t necessarily a Los Angeles trait; you won’t lose your “edge” by making a 10 minute experience enjoyable for the customer.) Thank you!

David runs a great store and treats his customers well. The coffee is a great, low acid coffee made with alkaline water, which lacks bitterness and over-sweetness found in many coffees. You can also buy it in bulk. The bagels are the best I have had in the greater Los Angeles area! There're many options from plain to za'atar. If you want coffee, bagels, or both, I highly recommend New York Bagel Cafe!
