Nana's and Pops Sweet Shop

Great little sweet shop! We always take our kids here to get an ice cream cone and to pick out some candy. The people that work here are so nice! Kid-friendliness: Highly kid friendly

The employee there is incredibly rude. I over heard him cussing and complaining about customers. Doubt I'll ever go back.

Please all your sweet teeth needs here and get taffy, pop-rocks, lollipops, icecream sandwiches, pickles, hard-candy and so many more styles of candy You can find so much goodness here and although it’s a little crammed inside due to limited shop size, you have enough space to wait in line and shop to see all the various types of sweet-treats available! Next time you’re in Oceanside Harbor, I highly recommend passing by here and grabbing a waffle-cone or a cup of some deliciousness!

I'm not sure why this spot has 4.7...I have it 3 stars because the employees were friendly. We specifically went for the beautifully wrapped fresh looking Carmel apples. Yet what was there were 2 old look apples with Carmel slid off apple and it looked old. The emphasis kind and said they could have a few made. Yet pick up won't be until this evening or tomorrow. No thank you. Pics are deceiving, must have been from when shop 1st opened. Update response: Sorry to hear you have been ill. Yet, it just doesn't make sense as to why or how the apples looked old, and crusty? Due to your employees stated that they had rec'd 50 fresh apples just 2 days prior to our visit, and they sold all of them with the exception of the 2 that were on display. Also, why would employees offer us fresh ones to be make for pickup that evening or the next day, if in fact you were ill. I understand you've been in busn for many years, yet plz be honest, or at the least get story straight with your employees. Those apples were not packaged as per your website photos (which looked fresh & nicely packaged). Plus, why would you make any food items at your home if in fact you had the flu? Do you have permit from the county health department to operate a home-based food business in California? Not safe for public comsumption.

Kind of dirty, tons of passive-aggressive signs all over. It's kind of a tacky sloppy mess to be honest.

Bad customer service . Ordered a small sugar cone a small waffle cone and a waffle bowl . When I paid I used my card , I didn’t take my receipt , when I checked my account the guy had charged me $64.59 . I tried to call año was sent to a full of messages mail box

We were finishing up our vacation yesterday in Oceanside and decided to stop here for ice cream. It's a very poor set up trying to have customers only come up to the counter when called. We were finally called up and put in our order for 2 double scoop cones and a kid cup for my daughter. The lady got our cones for us and handed them over. I took the cones and was standing holding the two cones not moving waiting for my husband to pay. I was not exerting any pressure on the cones at all just standing still holding them and both cones at the same time broke just a bit up from the base in the same place and the ice cream and top part of the cone landed on the ground. The workers did nothing to help clean it up or offer to remake our cones at cost or for a refund. I worked in a similar ice cream shop for 5 years as a teenager and know that the cones were pressed on too hard by the girl who scooped them fracturing the cone towards the bottom which then caused them to both break in the exact same spot and fall onto the floor. The fact that the workers said nothing, had us pay the $20 plus with tip though we literally had none of the ice cream, had us clean up the mess unassisted and offer no options for fixing the situation was the worst customer service I've experienced anywhere in a long time. So bad that I decided to leave them a review so they can try and fix their terrible customer service. For a store called nana and pop you would except great service and a caring attitude. We will never visit there again while visiting Oceanside which is a shame as we visit often as we got married in Oceanside.

My son and his church youth group and leaders (very large group) went here every week during June and July, easily spending over $200 a week. My son paid for his ice cream and never received his change back - which was over $15. I walked back with him to get his change, and the male employee told me that my son had “walked away”. Now if you’ve ever been here, you know how tiny this ice cream shop is so obviously not only was my son with a large group waiting for each other, but he could not have gotten too far for this employee not to have given him his change back. Both the male employee and the female employee were very rude and acted inconvenienced that they had to go in their TIP JAR to give my child his money back. Dishonest and unethical employees and business. Do not go here. UPDATE TO OWNER CHRISTINA'S REPLY: The fact that you are trying to claim that your customers leave up to $15 in change behind 90% percent of the time as a TIP for your employees is just plain pathetic. You are a dishonest person with absolutely zero integrity and clearly run your business the same way. Maybe you can take the thousands of dollars our church spent at your business and buy yourself some character and ethics. You might want to brush up on your basic math skills as well, as the end of July 2023 to August 2023 is NOT A MONTH LATER. Your propensity to lie is pitiful.
