Great little cheese stake place. I’ll definitely be back to this place
The fries are the worst around. Swear to god.. but the Philly is great! Swear to God. Dint order the soggy cardboard tasting fries. Vegetarian options: The fries suck. The lettice ain't bad
Favorite restaurant in town!
It's good for the price. The crispy Philly is good, but the Polish sausage is...not great. The bun was also hard which was disappointing. Finally, the fries are crispy but they could really use some seasoning. It would also be great if they had gluten free burger buns. Edit: changed 3 stars to 4 because the burger and grilled chicken sandwich are both pretty good. I would definitely get those again. Do yourself a favor and get the double hamburger/cheeseburger because the bun is very big for a single patty. Parking: Bike rack available a short walk south from the entrance. Ample car parking in Oak Forest Commons.
I loved my meal so much that I had to immediately sit down and write this place a review. I had the crispy steak crispy mix with fries and and drink, and it was worth every single penny. It was around $15, which, when places like McDonald's want $13 for a Big Mac meal, there's really no point in NOT paying the extra $2 for something that tastes this amazing. The person (i'm assuming owner) who took my order was kind and friendly, I felt welcome. You'd be surprised how many places fail at that. The flavors and aroma coming from my food were out of this world, and I won't be forgetting this place anytime soon. They really offer that Chicago flavor and menu right here in Oak Forest.
So let me start by saying the food was very good. Super flavorful, and filling. For not a horrible price. However the meat was slightly fatty. But not enough to ruin the sandwich for me. The inside of the place itself was kinda dull though. There’s no indoor seating, you walk in and order and then sit on a bench and wait. The entire time not being able to see the kitchen. Which to me isn’t very good. It also took longer than I feel like it should to get one Philly and a burger. If I had any advice I’d say maybe let customers see the kitchen, and work on that time. Otherwise I’d recommend.
Go here all the time, the food is crazy good. Small place so relatively unknown but I can't go a week without it
