The sushi class was overbooked. I couldn’t see or hear anything the guy was saying. We did a Groupon tour of Mountain West way back when it was newer and more up and coming and it was amazing. Has changed a lot since then. The description online said we would be shown how to make three rolls, but he vaguely walked us through how to build a roll, and then said have at it. There wasn’t enough rice for us to make the three rolls and had we not stood up in confusion after a while of sitting and wondering (because we couldn’t hear or see to know what was going on), wouldn’t have even been able to do 2 as we got some of the last of it. I hope they realize in the future they need a bigger space, or to have a cutoff of how many people can do a class at a time, seeing as there wasn’t space for everyone to adequately hear/see/learn as well as enough product for everyone to make stuff as described. The guy was nice enough and his sushi rice was perfect, but I thought there’d be more to it. It was still nice to get out of the house.

Hate to write a negative review particularly for a local company. This winter solstice hard cider is a pass for me. I assumed the best and bought several cans (DABS) to serve to my family for Christmas. Perhaps I received a bad batch, it is horrible. The flavor profile is akin to composting fall leaves.

Love this place! We went for a storytelling event called Gearn which was fabulous. One of the owners of mountain west was there and she told a hilarious story that added to the amazing time. They cleared spaced for chairs inside and they also have venue space outside. We had a peach tumeric hard cider that tasted really good. They had a lot of drink options available on site. If you see an event at this location I would definitely recommend you go. Great people, great atmosphere and great drinks!

Organized a wedding shower here and the staff was amazing. It was supposed to be outside but the weather turned; they set us up in their tasting room before I could even ask about a plan B, and even made personalized signs for the couple. In every way they were helpful, kind and accommodating. Not to mention their cider, beer and cocktail selection meant everyone was happy. Would absolutely have an event here again. What a great team and space.

Cider was more like wine than hard cider, with the profile leaning much more wet than dry. The Ras-perry was decent, but the Desolation cider was downright bad. Service was friendly and the atmosphere is nice and cozy. Definitely a niche winery but not something I'd seek out for cider. If the menu to your taste you'll enjoy it.

This is the fourth (maybe fifth?) time we’ve arrived well within business hours and the place has been closed. Unfortunate that the staff/hours are so inconsistent since we moved in down the street and would be regulars.

This cidar distillery was so chill and a nice relaxing time for my hubs and i's anniversary. The owner gave us a private tour, and we learned so much during our stay. Tried a flight of cidars, got a glass, and one to take home! It's definitely an experience to remember! The sweet Alice was My favorite next to the lemongrass and cherry noir. My husband's favorite was 7mile! We were just here for a short visit but when we come back into town we will definitely be back!

Love the vibe at our neighborhood cidery! Excellent selection of local beers and spirits in addition to ciders.

Great space, atmosphere and service. The ciders yummy, and I love that you can get a flight. Surprisingly not busy. Excited to being my dog next time!

This is definitely now on my list of "Best Local Secrets in Salt Lake"! I am no connoisseur of ciders (tho' this place could probably make one of me), but I believe these folk would be outstanding anywhere, in SLC they are unique. I haven't come near to trying all the varieties, apparently all from local apples, but I do know now that cider can be as interesting and varied, complicate and subtle, as wine. I hope these guys are in the neighborhood for 25 years, for starters. Easy to find from I-15 (600 North exit) and US 89 (3rd West). Definitely worth a side trip.
