One standout dish is their signature shrimp and grits, featuring succulent Gulf shrimp atop creamy stone-ground grits, elevated with a savory and slightly spicy sauce. Each bite bursts with flavor, showcasing the cafe's commitment to using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
A Sunday morning breakfast is what we had in mind. The restaurant is just down the street from our winter home. The system is to order your food and look for a seat.the system is poorly managed and unnecessarily slow. We were patient. Breakfast was French toast and bacon I had what purported to be an egg pie. A mere $52. And they had balls enough to ask for a tip. Are you kidding me? Coffee is self serve, ok the half a dozen people wandering around were “busy”? Then breakfast came. The food was served cold. The “egg pie” was terrible. Cold and tasted as if they used flour to thicken the mixture. Service was non existent, food was poor, prices were a rip off. A better breakfast would be at the Waffle House. You have been warned.
Looked up best brunch in Galveston. Mosquito Cafe was one that came up. Should be #1 on the list. Highly recommend!!
Great service, tasty food, and the came out quick!
First time here and it was great. Food was really good, wait was not too long on a busy Sunday morning. Everyone is friendly. A place I will be returning in the future.
Great food great portions... They're generally packed all the time. Because of great food in great portions. Their services also wonderful My problem is it's gotten so popular that there's not enough room for everyone
We decided to check this place out for breakfast, as it was within walking distance. I got the eggs Benedict and definitely had no regrets. It was delicious! My husband did the shrimp and grits, which were also very good.
Cool little place with enough tables to be comfortable. Friendly staff and good food. However, be hungry as the portions are large. Vegetarian options: Very good veggie burger and sandwich option.
