i was really excited about coming here for some time now but i’m really disappointed sadly. we arrived and had to wait 30 mins to sit which we were perfectly fine with! upon arriving and ordering, the food took about 25 minute (i know it’s busy so it wasn’t a big deal) but when we got our food my pizza had burnt parts all over and it was somehow cold at the same time. it was dry and cut my mouth :( my boyfriends pasta was dry and clumped up in a ball and my friend who joined us also had the same issue. our server wasn’t personable at all and didn’t smile at us or anything all night. maybe they had a bad night but still. i felt bad about saying anything about the food but im so disappointed. i wont come here again
Food: - Pizza is yummy, particularly the crust, I could eat that on its own to be honest. - The salted caramel tart was far too sweet, rich, and overpowering. - Drinks were decent, I don’t think there was a bartender that night so maybe that’s why they weren’t as good. Nice decor and atmosphere. Service: Service left a lot to be desired… - server didn’t check in with us at all, - had to ask for extra water - waited around forever to ask for our bill. - Actually witnessed one patron get up and go to the bar to order and get their drinks rather than wait. The booth seats are built light to make them easy to move and rearrange which makes sense, however it has the undesired side effect of feeling everything the person behind you is doing. The woman behind me kept thrashing about all night so I felt like I was being pushed around all evening… Kind of a shame as I loved the original location.
After exploring downtown Halifax we found this gem and highly recommend you go! Our small party had pasta (kids menu spaghetti & Meatballs), salad (goat cheese fritter) and pizza (pepperoni) and all were delicious and prompt. The wait staff, atmosphere and food worth every penny
For your looking for a tate of itialy pizza. This is the pizza place.
Morris East does not disappoint ever. Their menu is dialed in, filled with comfort foods and new dishes to explore. Their beverage offering tailored to complement a lunch or evening meal. The team at Morris East are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Vegetarian options: Half our group is vegan and we have no problem ordering from the menu and/or modifying menu items. Morris East has vegan cheese which is really yummy! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with colouring pages and special drinks for kids. Atmosphere is kid friendly as are the staff.
We stopped by here on a whim and it was delicious! I was honestly blown away by my goat cheese salad. My husband got the Hawaiian Pizza and it was an elevated and delicious dish! Great for kids too.
