The food here is exquisite. Every detail from the tea selection to the background info in the menu about certain dishes and their culture, made the experience magical. I had such a good time and enjoyed every bite. I ordered the Royal tteokbokki as an appetizer along with the crispy broccolini. Both were divine. The chewiness of the rice cakes was lovely, and the shitaki mushrooms in it were perfect, because sometimes their flavor can be overwhelming. The sauce for the broccoli had me figuring out how to make it myself For a main entree, I ordered the smoked tofu and mushroom Bibimbap. Oh my gosh!!! The smoked tofu was heaven!!!! And I don’t typically love smoky flavors. I’m obsessed. I can’t wait to go back, but it will be hard to choose between that and wanting to try the rest of the menu like the fried tofu and the fried rice. I wish I would have discovered this place sooner, I only heard about it when I read an article about the chef being one of the nominations for a regional award. But I’m so happy I found it now, and will be bringing as many friends and family as I can. Thank you!
I had a great time here, we had a new waitress and she was amazing
Great food even better service!!
Tried their Restaurant Week fixed price menu. Absolutely flavourful and delicious! Good portion sizes too. The service here is amazing. It is in a building with a lot of hard surfaces. Once more people showed up, it became very loud and hard to hear the people in your party.
Food was served hot, delicious and plated beautifully. As others here have mentioned, the portions are a relatively small considering the prices. Our host was very friendly and sat us when the restaurant was busy, and I appreciate that. Try the Korean BBQ chicken, and the bi bim bap. I had a wonderful experience here, I hope you will as well!
To preface my review, I stopped in late on a Monday night to break up a long drive with a dine-in meal. The staff were very friendly and incredibly accommodating despite it being just shy of an hour to close. I’d been wanting to visit Miss Kim’s for a whole, and there were too many dishes I wanted to try. My server very helpfully steered me toward some house-favorites, and she did not do me wrong. I started with an order of Broccolini with Fish Caramel; a textural wonder with crispy florets, snappy stems, and toasted nuts. Umami-forward with a sweet and salty finish — I could have likely eaten it all in one sitting. Alongside this came an incredible warmed carrot salad that was a crunchy, earthy, and smoky cut through by a light vinegary tang. For my main, I went with the duck bibimbap which was absolutely delicious. Crispy duck, a beautifully soft-poached egg, flavorful mixed veggies, a spicy gochujang sauce, all rounded out by rice made crispy by the hot stone bowl. Each component on its own was fantastic, but the only way to eat bibimbap is to mix everything together. All said, I’d highly recommend paying Miss Kim a visit for the cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and outstanding food! Great service, really good food.
Brought my mom here for her birthday a few weeks back. Food was incredible! I’ve always been a fanatic of Korean cuisine and the food was excellent! Would definitely recommend the fried tofu, tteokbokki, and fried broccolini, although portion size is quite small. They also allowed us to bring in a cake and cut it for my mom’s birthday :) Definitely my favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor so far!
