At 6'1", 260, I am embarrassed that I could not finish a two pork chop and two side meal! Fantastic food that is real Southern cooking and grandma sized portions! I have a new favorite place for country cooking made with love and from scratch.
Food was meh at best (overcooked and underseasoned), service was minimal (plastic plates and utensils) and atmosphere of loud hip hop music while trying to have a conversation. Not to mention they don't release a menu until 11am the day of...
Being from the south, this is the best cooking I've found away from home. Clean facilities, absolutely awesome staff, and some of the best sweet tea I've gotten to sip on. I look forward to the next visit every time I leave
If you are looking for some good soulfood in Lexington. MiMi's is the spo. I ordered the porkchop dinner with Mac n cheese and collard greens. I went back the next day for the beef tips but they found out that they don't sell rice
We were surprised and disappointed by what we encountered. Even though there is an extensive menu online, there were only a few choices to choose from. The dining room was empty except for us. There was quite a but of take out traffic. But food was mediocre. We won't go back.
Came from Louisville to Lexington for this. It was not worth it.
BBQ chicken was really dry & m pots. & green beans were way too salty. But usually it's really good.
Catfish was raw Potatoes dry and unseasoned Mac n cheese was bland and the noodles were overcooked
On vacation from NY and the anted good soul food and found GREAT soul food and service!! Highly recommend!!
Second visit both times were insanely good.
