Mike’s Vegan Grill

Was stoked to see a vegan place while in town for a trade show. The food was excellent, great flavors and really satisfying comfort food. Cozy and warm, nice atmosphere in an interesting building. The staff is super friendly and echo the positive vibe of the place. Vegetarian options: All vegan menu.

The food here is SO DELICIOUS. Imagine the yummiest fast food you could get anywhere - and then make it vegan. I had the Philly cheesesteak and sweet potato tots, and pretty much snarfed them down without breathing. Our server was super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. And the atmosphere was chill and beautiful. I can’t wait to go back.

unfortunately, I must have had high expectations for Mike's vegan grill but I was not impressed and a bit disappointed with what they had to offer. nothing really original, just the same proteins dressed differently. Maybe wise to rethink their menu and balance out the prices better

I’m vegan and I think the food was average in my opinion. It didn’t really stand out too much from similar vegan burger joints. The food wasn’t bad, just not exceptional. There are gluten free hamburger buns available by the way.

The only reason why I’m leaving this review is because I don’t think Mike is aware of how the customer service and taste of the food is declining. Went to Mikes Vegan 1/13/24 and ordered my usual Carolina burger w/fries. I’m supposed to get free water with the combo. Now, it’s not about the water. It’s about the customer service. When ordering my food the person who took my order didn’t hand me my water like he should’ve. Instead, he took my order and walked away to prepare someone else’s drink. While I stood there waiting for my water and receipt he finally realized I was still there, looked at me like “why are you still standing there” and handed me my receipt. Yeah, I should’ve mentioned my water but why should I have to? This has happened 3 times. I’m the kind of person that will rationalize when a mistake is made. 1 time , ok. 3 times, no way. Also, the food is changing. I used to get a load of fries and they tasted delicious. Now I get a very minimal amount of fries and they are dry. No seasoning at all. This has happened 3 times. I’ve been supporting Mike since his food truck in Greensboro and Charlotte. Even met him once or twice. He seems to be a really nice person. I hope he sees this review and makes the necessary changes. Customer service is SUPER important and the food is changing. If I’m going to pay $20 for a vegan burger and fries I really should enjoy the experience.

So thankful for this place. It's awesome.
